Again AAC Out does the MW.

Recommended Posts

By being proactive and starting the season on time they ensured an early lead in the ranking.  They will clamor for a Natty invite but will settle for the the big bowl.  Again we got out done.  Just sucks to always be reactive.  Let's go boys.

Flawed logic. I think it is actually more beneficial for the MWC to play a bunch of games consecutively late in the year after the playoff committee starts its rankings (as long as multiple MWC games don't get COVID cancelled).

There is a tendency to take more stock in games that are fresh in voters minds than ones played several months in the past. Plus, the AAC only has one remaining undefeated team. If Cincy goes down, an undefeated MWC probably has the edge over a 1- loss AAC (or a potentially undefeated Marshal or Coastal Carolina from CUSA).

Disagree.  Cincy is now top 10 because not everyone was playing.  Look at byu as well.  They are a product of an early start.  No MW school can catch them with a MW only schedule.  If the schedules were flipped at the MW leader was 5-0 they would be top 10 and in control.  Boise will not catch them late.

I don't think we've ever had two undefeated champs from the AAC and MWC at the same time. Who knows what will happen this year. An undefeated SDSU or BSU would have a win over BYU and probably a decent win in the championship game. The current polls don't matter. They aren't the CFP playoff rankings. We'll see what happens.

It’s way too early to worry about bowl games.  Everyone is eligible this year anyway, so they’re going to pick the most compelling matchups.  The NY6 bowl isn’t a likely outcome anyway but there should be some good P5 opponents in name for the upper tier contract bowls this year.  Most conferences aren’t looking too deep either so there’s a higher chance of upsets this bowl season in my opinion.

They started off putting only 2 PAC-12 schools in the T25 because they haven’t played yet and because of the east coast bias. There should be a couple PAC teams in the Top10 after 3 or 4 weeks. And the Big10 will probably be one more. An undefeated Boise will make their way into the Top 10 for sure and likely pass Cincy even if they lose a game. So I don’t think starting late is bad. I think it could end up better.

That logic is flawed. The committee looks at the whole season to start with.  The MW left no room for cancelled games. Any MW team will be 5 games behind the rest of the G5 and that will be a detriment to us.

Also, Coastal Carolina is in the Sunbelt.

In an overrated AAC? Truth is we don't know which teams are good this year because of the lack of G5 vs P5 games. But the way the AAC plays defense? No AAC team deserves a top 10 ranking or a spot in the CFP.

they played #22 Army OOC and #16 SMU in AAC play...plus they still have teams like Memphis, UCF, and Houston to play, along with the AAC title game.

1-0 Boise doesn't get to talk s**t to 4-0 Cincy...but welcome to the party anyway, even if you're a little late.

Army hasn't  played anyone and SMU (Who looked bad against an awful Texas State) got exposed.

And we all know what happens when Cincy plays in big games (Ohio State, Memphis), they choke. And good job, taking a shot at a conference who put their players first because of Covid-19. That reeks of desperation to prove a point.

It is what it is. No G5 team is getting in a playoff. No ifs ands or butts. You getting sand in your vagina and having a hissy fit because you don't like the truth won't change that. And if Boise State beats BYU, Hawaii, Wyoming, and Nevada or SDSU, one could argue that's a better schedule with the best win on paper. You think Cincy would get chosen over Boise State? Not happening. Not with Boise State's history. Cincy won't show up. Boise State will.

the MD's and PhD's at Tulane put together a smart/safe plan to restart and we did. That's why we keep the smart kids around...

I know you don't like the AAC but I'd love to see the committee squirm due to an 11-0 Cincy being ranked in the top 4.

SMU's ranking is a joke.  Not even a top 40 team.

I see unprecedented depth in the AAC right now.  There are only four teams that aren’t very good.  There’s been a rise in the mid levels that’s driving the growth.

Cincy plays good defense.

Cincy will be challenged against UCF, Memphis, Houston, and Tulsa.

And Tulsa could end up being the best team in the AAC this season.
