I love the Rankulator early in the year. UNLV must have carried some serious clout going into this weekend. At least Old Dominion or Charlotte aren't in the Top-10 again this year.

The ranking will be flawed this year, not enough out of conference games to get an accurate ranking.

That's the problem with all these rankings. PAC fans like to say the SEC games the system, bc they only play 8 conference games, but seeing them in more OOC games actually lets you know if the league is great or not. With teams only playing league schedules for the most part, it's hard to truly gauge because it turns in to 12 teams in a league being ranked against each other instead of benchmarking them against other leagues and teams.

This can’t be correct....

There is No Way, I say NO WAY...

that YBU can be ranked NUMBER 3?!

When I get to Hawaii, I’m going to punch Warbow right in the mouth.

Even in normal years it takes multiple weeks before the rankulator sorts things out.....this being an abienormal year ....it's gonna look strange right up till the end.

Teams like Alabama typically play softball OOC games. Bama has so much clout, they frequently get away with scheduling FCS scrimmages a week before a big game. And you never see them play on a short week like the Pac and MW do.

Never.

The game is rigged my friends. That's why I enjoy the G5. They are what they are and the P5 politics don't apply.

This is a myth. Bama schedules one P5 game every year. It's like you guys expect them to play a top 10 team every week when they already see multiple ranked teams on their schedule during the conference portion. This year they've already hammered a top 10 ranked Georgia team and a top 15 ranked TAMU team. Last year they played Duke, not a great opponent, but they usually schedule a P5 team at some point in the pre league schedule. The year before they played Louisville. In 2017 they played Florida State, in 2016 they played USC, 2015 they played Wisconsin, before that West Virgina, the year before that Virginia Tech. That's a who's who of CFB names that they played out of league. They were scheduled to play USC again this year. Next year they travel to Texas. Then they get Texas at home. They have future games against Ohio State during the regular season, Notre Dame, West  Virginia, Oklahoma, etc. I'm tired of people perpetuating this fantasy that Bama doesn't play anyone.

Big deal if they schedule a scrimmage game. Everyone does that. SDSU plays NMSU and Towson next year. Like that's any different. You have Idaho State on future schedules twice, Portland State, Eastern Michigan. Literally everyone has some easy games to play. It's not Alabama's fault they are so much better than everyone that most OOC games seem easy for them. But sure, act like you're morally superior to the P5. Your school would be doing the same thing in their shoes.

The biggest difference is Carson St schedules their scrimmages in September. Bama mid to late season right before big games. Bama actually had one of the weakest SOS amongst the P5 last year.

That doesn't mean you're somehow more ethical or thoughtful about your scheduling.

Bama didn't make the playoff last year. And they routinely have a great SoS. Your complaint is with teams like Clemson, who have a terrible league. Complaining about the SEC ain't it.
