Thats not true. He got the official fired because he was NOT investigating corruption. This spin was disproven long ago.

It's true that Joe Biden leveraged $1 billion in aid to persuade Ukraine to oust its top prosecutor, Viktor Shokin, in March 2016. But it wasn't because Shokin was investigating Burisma. It was because Shokin wasn't pursuing corruption among the country's politicians.

As European and American diplomats pressed Ukraine to clean up its corruption, they focused on Shokin's leadership of the Prosecutor General's Office, which he took over in February 2015.

It had nothing to do with Burisma specifically. The entire Western world was demanding that he be fired die to his unwillingness to investigate and prosecute corruption. You've been reading, listening, and watching way too much far right media.

There are TONS of other articles out there that say the exact same thing. Shokin WASN'T prosecuting corruption. The entire western world was sick of fighting them on it, and it was their UNIFIED position that Shokin had to go. This wasn't about Burisma, this wasn't about preventing the prosecution of corruption, this was about NOT prosecuting corruption.
