Swoll Cracker
Rams got a commitment today for their last available scholarship. Jalen Lake, a 6’4” SG with offers from Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and VCU among others. Obviously our coaching staff is very excited:
ImHere4This
Jalen Lake is a really good player already and still has tons of upside. CSU is doing a great job recruiting the DFW Metroplex. Fun fact...he and Jalen Harris used to train together. Duncanville roots.

The DFW area and the whole of Texas is loaded with D-1 level basketball players. Isaiah Stevens was not as highly rated as a prep player than Jalen Lake. Lake was probably a bit under-recruited because he plays on the same prep team with CJ Noland, a Top 100 player nationally who is headed to Oklahoma next season. Noland is certainly much more physically developed but I don’t think he has anywhere near the shooting prowess of Lake.
ImHere4This
Loaded! Living examples of Iron sharpens iron . Totally agree on Lake vs Noland. I never wish any ill will on kids...I like Noland. He works and plays hard. but Noland will be in the portal no later than year 2. Lake will be on 1 of the all conference teams by end of year 2. I cant wait to see what Stevens and the rest of that freshman class does in year 2.
