Monday Night !!!!

I’ve been a Raiders fan since I was a small kid watching football for the first time with my dad.  That was when Daryl Lamonica was the Raiders QB and George Blanda was the kicker.  While it always seemed like the Raiders belonged in Oakland, I’m glad they eventually landed on the Ninth Island because now they’re the closest thing Hawaii has to an NFL home team.

What a night last night.  As a life long Las Vegan, seeing an NFL team rep LV in a stadium right across from the Strip is surreal.  Never thought this day would come.  People forget how the NFL blackballed Vegas for years to the point of not allowing Super Bowl parties at casinos.  For us to get the Raiders is just perfect.  I've been a Cowboys fan my whole life, but my little brother was Raider fan.  I used to take him to games in LA when the Raiders were there, so I kind of  adopted the Raiders as my AFC team a long time ago.  Everything they've done so far in this process and move to Vegas has been nothing but class.  So proud to have this organization represent Las Vegas.  Somebody pinch me.......Vegas has an NFL team that is 2-0 with a big win on MNF in their new stadium.  No one saw this coming 5 years ago.  Amazing the transformation of this city in my lifetime.

I grew up in the Bay Area back when it was something to be proud of. Became a raiders fan during the Davis Lamonica years and it was in my blood watching Stabler and Biletnikoff with Madden on the sidelines.  I left the Bay Area in 72 and then in 79 I moved to Vegas so it’s been a long 40+ years. Last night looked a lot like the Raiders of old. Refuse to lose and take it to the other guy at every opportunity.

JUST WIN BABY!

Where are we now as far as a Super Bowl  bid? I’m sure glad we weren’t ready the 2021 bid. Miami this coming February might not be ready to welcome 150,000 visitors. I guess we are probably shooting for 2025. Vegas was built for events like this.

Apparently I've been a bit more of a Raiders fan than you, lol. One of my patients made me a Las Vegas Raiders license plate holder before they were even approved to come to Vegas. But up until today, I've been a bit ambivalent about them. We'll see how they treat the Rebs over the next couple of years

I turned on the game just to see the stadium and stuff but found no Raider pride in my heart just yet. I did like the high level shots of Las Vegas throughout the broadcast and the killers looked and sounded great at halftime. Nice ads for the city.

It would’ve been cool if we could have gotten it whenever Super Bowl #55 is,(in the next year or two? I don’t remember what # we are on) it would have been Super Bowl LV.
