Boise State's MBB back court will be FAR superior to UNLV's.

It will be a good opportunity for our guards to grow. Having good competition makes everyone better. Rebels are starting to build talent with depth. This year will be fun once it gets going.

In other news: We all know who Leon is. Enough said

This is going to be the year of reckoning for leon no question.  He has done more with less raw athleticism them any coach in the  conference with the exception of Craig Smith at usu although Queta is a huge game changer.  If he can't make it happen with this years talent , he never will.

I think it is a bit of mythology that Boise fans are pushing that their players haven't been particularly athletic..

Not really.  We usually have 1-2 really talented players, then a bunch of good players, passers, shooters that can't create their own shot or play great D.

Quickness, jumping ability, ability to defend, ability to create your own shot, player that can both shoot from the outside and take it to the rim.

Boise has had that already..Very few mid majors are athletic from top to bottom on the roster..Boise has had a bunch of players who have fit that criteria over the years..That is the same for most MW schools..

Boise has never had a roster with more than a couple, many years just 1 (1-2 usually).  Nevada has had rosters lately with 6-7.

This will be far and away Boise's most athletic team.

There are lots of ways to win.  Nevada went to 4 straight tourneys behind Nick Fazekas.  Nobody considered him to be athletic.  It is great to have a nice mix of leapers, shooters, bangers and leaders..

Well that is not true.  Fazekas ran the floor great and has had a more successful pro career than an Boise State player.

Fazrkas had a very short NBA career.  He wasn't athletic but he was extremely skilled and understood his game as well as anyone.  I would say Hutchison has had a successful NBA stint so far.  He was a 1st round pick.

I said pro career.  Fazekas could score from anywhere on the court.  He could make his own shot.  He could run the floor.  You also had players like Kemp, Shilo, etc...on those teams.
