VPN and Firestick overseas

I'm in Taiwan for the next 3 months.  Does anyone know if VPN will help Firestick tune into TV, Amazom Prime, Hulu, etc...  I know my Direct TV works but not sure about Firestick?  Thanks for any help you can provide.

Nord VPN /YouTubeTV works for me when I'm in the UAE but I have to use obfuscated servers to get around their firewall.

Can't get local (San Diego) stations.

Netflix works.

Hulu doesn't.

It works for Netflix.

It should work for the others, but I'm not nerdy enough to be positive.

If you can get Nord installed on it, it should work for most. I've used it on my Android phone to skirt stuff like CBS Sports Network and ESPN3, but also Hulu (mixed results in usability on this one), Netflix (sometimes have to drop and connect to a new server mid-show), Amazon Prime (like Netflix, you'll have a different set of shows available locally), and CBS All Access. Other VPN services should work the same if they have an app available.
