CSU football operations suspended

Recommended Posts

So, Anthony Hill was on staff under Bobo (director of player development I believe) and left a pretty scathing letter behind when he was not retained by Addazio.  It basically said that there was some culture of racism in the building with the Bobo staff, and he feared it would be the same under Addazio.  He also complained about minority coaches being under paid.

Upon further review, the minority coaches on the staff are paid about what a coach of their experience would be paid at a MWC school, regardless of color, and you can read what the players have to say.  I wonder how many of these complainers lost their starting jobs to walk-on's and transfers?

To date they all remain "unnamed sources".

I doubt CSU consults with Urban Meyer for the next HC.

Lol! I'd forgotten about that.

Your president hired Joe Parker away from TT where he served under Kirby Hocutt who, among other things, way overpaid to get Matt Wells and hired a raving lunatic to be the women's basketball coach.

So I'd say Parker was probably plenty capable of effing up the replacement of Mike Bobo all on his own.

It's true. I don't think this is fair at all. Kind of how it's unfair I was gifted with such a girthy and long penis.

Cancers within a athletic department takes years or even decades of chemo to clear out. Whether it was the old staff or new stirring this up doesn’t matter any more. Good luck CSU. In the culture we’ve been living in facts and truth have little to do with justice. You’ll have the next year to figure it out and let things settle down. This season  “may” Start but it won’t get far before it gets shut down and an asterisk placed in the record books.

Yeah they are better off just closing the doors.  Toxic athletic department that has been nuturing drunken racist coaches for years.  Horrid place.

Here's a more detailed story about the accusations:

https://amp.coloradoan.com/amp/3283299001

I think AD Joe Parker is going to take the fall on this one as most of the stuff is from Bobo and Eustachy. You could make the case that Addazio is being treated unfairly because apparently Anthoney Hill is a "Racism Precog" and knows Addazio will do racist stuff.  I think Addazio's fate will hinge on the COVID allegations and not the racial stuff. (Jeezus, what a cluster+++++, lol.)

Semi-related: I was in the AD Suite last year and had a 10 minute conversation with President McConnell. I don't remember the exact contents of the conversation, but I do remember her bringing up a former colleague of her's at West Virginia. It was totally unsolicited, but she was gushing over her... I'm pretty sure it was WVU Deputy AD Keli Zinn, but I'm not 100% sure.

Anyway, that's my totally uninformed prediction: Joe Parker gets the ax and is replaced by Keli Zinn from WVU. Coach Addazio's future is TBD based on the findings of  the Husch Blackwell investigation. If he gets fired, he's either immediately replaced by Tony Alford or CSU hires an actual search firm instead of just hiring another one of Urban Meyer's buddies.

I can see Eustachy being tough on players. Some kids take criticism and slough it off. Others take it personal. It sounds like some that took it personal reported him.

This comes across as sour grapes by Hill and some former players. I guess the investigation will ferret out any significant problems associated with the current staff.

Said in another post. Thank you CSU for getting your stadium house in order - doing so really helped sell the new SDSU stadium.

Good luck with your future endeavors in the Big Sky Conference. One more team and MW is at 10 and we can play a round robin schedule! ;)

(Make the right moves and you'll be fine. Hope it works out because the MWC needs as many competitive teams as they can get)

In terms of athletic relevance, I always felt that downsizing the MW would involve Sparty and UNLV. I have no hate or animosities towards either school. Just looking at fb reality.

It turns out I was wrong. Covid may eliminate UNM and administrative incompetence will take out CSU.

Based on their being in Fort Collins.

Fort Collins is beautiful.  Lots of good eating in Fort Collins, too.  https://walrusicecream.com/

Plus, the State of Colorado has a large population.

That does not mean they are a P5 quality sports school.

I think they will keep womens athletics and some mens sports.   But they have all options on the table now.  The debt of the stadium combined with Covid and the total lack of leadership makes this an ugly possible scenario.  For thise of you that dont think this is a real possibility you are not paying attention to the current climate of the world right now.   Csu is in trouble.

^^^^^^

How can they afford to drop football or go down a level with their new stadium?  The debt alone will require they keep FB IMO.
