Mike Aresco was on BYUSN an hour ago. I don't like that dude. He is asking for BYU to come play AAC teams.

He did admit if it wasn't for BYU, Boise would of been in the big access bowl instead of Memphis.

This dude should just invite BSU, BYU and SDSU to the AAC and get it over with.

I would be supportive of that..It would be a drag to lose any schools but this has been a mutual love affair for awhile..No conference really needs members who are always on the look out for a way out..

If they could fix the tier 3 rights at this point we should join or make the BOR conference. Get Gonzaga to go along as well.

I mean, he's not wrong. That lost cost you last year.

I'm all for it.

AAC is not. Look to Colorado for the western partners coming with BYU for that conference. SDSU is just too far and they won't be letting Boise back. Plus that makes their western division contiguous with UT, CO, OK, Texas schools. Even their east would tighten up by switching Navy for UConn and moving Memphis over. Money is the issue, is it worth it to everyone involved to pull the trigger.

A modest proposal:

If, as seems likely, CSU cancels their football season, let BYU replace CSU for this season only, with the following provisions:

All of the games would be home games for MWC teams, including the USU game, and with no change to the location of future games.

The MWC receives all revenue from the games with BYU.

That gives BYU an 8 game core, plus whatever additional games they can scrape together, at the cost of home field and revenue.

^^^ this guy has BYU Derangement Syndrome.   @robe

ESPN and BYU don't need that deal.

BYU has games against SDSU, USU, and BOISE.  CSU and UNLV have already contacted Tom Holmoe, asking BYU for help.   The AAC Commissioner told BYUtv today that he has instructed his whole conference to contact BYU.

The USU game remains in Provo---we aren't moving it to Ogden.

Rumor is that BYU will be announcing a few more games it has finalized within the next few days.

USU is the one struggling to find an additional game.  Any luck on getting an additional OOC game?

Sadly he is probably 100% serious. USU, BSU and SDSU have BYU’s back. MWC has no desire to anger BYU.

Orem?   You from Orem, Utah?

I think Orem even modeled their Orem Tigers mascot off of BYU.  Definitely one of the better high school football programs in Utah right now.

BYUtv is the unofficial AAC station. Anything to read into sportsnation declaring that 5 times. Aresco wouldn’t even mention the MWC by name. All 3 chuckled about the unnamed conference.

AAC is becoming a nice partner for BYU.

We should try and schedule SMU, and a few other AAC schools this year.

What the hell give us tier 3 rights and let’s bring SDSU and BSU with us and make it a P6 conference.

They’d need to renegotiate their tv deal. As my friend @#1Stunner has shown repeatedly, the AAC tv deal sucks.  BYU, Boise, and SDSU will make more money in their current tv deals than in the AAC’s deal.

UNC adds UNC Charlotte as its OOC game.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Hmmmm, how are those October/November games looking BYU?

What's that? You only have two games after October 24? No games after Nov 14?

Those two November games are probably moving? Maybe even won't be played?
