I didn't think you were allowed to comment on other threads until you used racist words in a sentence in a non offensive manner.

LOL! 😂😂😂 You think an American president of your wet dreams could bring everything to a head and get the free world to stand up to China right now? That is mega delusional. As the stupid euro nations usually do (and even we have been doing this under Obama and Bush to some degree) they stick their heads in the sand regarding long term danger and just take the short term benefit because it’s easy. In this case, the short term benefit of low prices on many goods and not wanting to pay the higher cost of manufacturing at home is the cause of the China leverage. Now China has most countries by the balls regarding many essential goods and these nations couldn’t afford to get cut off. We saw this with essentials needed for covid.

So unless a US President has an immediate solution to the essential goods crisis with China, these countries will continue to kiss China ass and toe their political line. The ONLY way to solve this problem is to slowly chip away at moving essential manufacturing to places like Vietnam, US, etc. Our prez could meet privately with other nations and probably get their support longer term, but we would have to do all the heavy lifting, as usual, with no or very little public ally support from other nations. And so many of you guys here want the US to become a typical euro nation as was Obama’s vision. Scary.

I love how just mentioning strength and coherence is enough to trigger trumpsters these days.

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

LONDON — The organs of members of marginalized groups detained in Chinese prison camps are being forcefully harvested — sometimes when patients are still alive, an international tribunal sitting in London has concluded.

Some of the more than 1.5 million detainees in Chinese prison camps are being killed for their organs to serve a booming transplant trade that is worth some $1 billion a year, concluded the China Tribunal, an independent body tasked with investigating organ harvesting from prisoners of conscience in the authoritarian state.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

Trump was/is tougher on China than anyone else has been. The media/left threw a giant shit fit.

Even if what you claim here is true, that only covers one of the two ideal qualities.

The way to deal with China is to have US companies reduce using China mfg. and the overall reliance on Chinese companies.  And that actually has started to happen here in last year and a half or so.
Using other countries instead and bringing some mfg back to US.  There's still quite a lot that can't be easily moved from China though and will take many years.  Simply trying to cut off China would be impossible.  US can do things like they are, such as tariffs and some specific sanctions, preventing some companies like Huawei to sell into US.  Trump started the right track with China implementing some of these things.  US consumer has to be on board though in order for these things to succeed.
