Expert Says This Is What Jesus Would Have Actually Looked Like

Humble and kneeling. Bucking the establishment. I think you are on to something. Colin is the second coming.

IMO this is a form of fascism.  Books, movies, statues, buildings, churches....muzzling people....ends with violence.   Does any of this sound familiar? 1930's?

Granted much of this is being done in the private sector but it is slowly becoming public policy.

I hadn't thought of it that way but tearing down these statues IS akin to a private sector version of Nazi book burnings.

Viewing it as such makes me wonder this. Wouldn't government allowance of the wholesale desecration of statues without arresting and prosecuting those doing so be equivalent to condoning such behavior? If so, that's pretty damn scary.

Are their others or one? Stop following this clown. And retweeting his bullchit and no one knows or cares about him??? Pretty simple.

He has over a million followers and a lot of people agreed with him (a lot disagreed too).

IMO this whole fiasco really does not have much to do with race anymore.

These  people want to destroy more than statues and have always been with us.   When a "woke" govt looks the other way ...its really dangerous in so many ways

Well, it certainly hasn't helped to have this president. Watching some of those rednecks standing behind Trump in Tulsa laughing their asses off at him referring to COVID-19 as the "kung flu" was par for the racist course. And the large following that people like Shaun King have is a backlash to it.

I don't think these guys would approve.

@halfmanhalfbronco @NVGiant This is a good article about the more radical side of Catholicism. Beware it is from a socialist perspective though.

I own a vehicle likely worth more than everything you own combined and just flew first class (including a ticket for a 2 1/2 year old), round trip to Las Vegas and I'm not 35 yet. When you accomplish something outside of finishing a book, let me know. When's the last time you saw a 2 year old fly first class in their own seat? Don't tell me about elite.

I liked @smltwnrckr leftist puritanism theory better as a description of the vibe right now. Religious nuts burned books too. And toppling statues is far different symbolically and functionaly than burning books.

Shaun King? More like a left-wing black activist more than a Bernie Bro

I guess we're not talking about the QB from Tulane...

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

You're going to have to persuade me that religion versus philosopy as the rationale for destruction matters because I don't see it.

What I DO see is that mere objection to the message portrayed by a statue or book does not justify its destruction.

Yeah that too, but he got his wings by latching on to Bernie in '16 & going with it

Indeed. The Feel the Bern-AOC crowd is out to lunch. Most of us Dems or former Dems agree with that. Problem is, other than the Lincoln Project folks, how many Republicans are willing to call out the far-right nutjobs and Trumpites from their party? FIve percent maybe?

Repubs are sticking close to trump because the GOP is now pretty much the party of trump, so until we see the R base move away from trump, the general GOPer is stuck kissing up to trump

At least the Dems still have some of the far left at a distance and not at the top of the party, thus the need to suck up to Sanders/ AOC, etc. isn't the "have to" as it is on the republican side

Can a R senate candidate dare disavow trump & win a primary anywhere in a red state?

this one time my brother was gored by a boar and died, so i laid claim to his throne.  i was living on an island in an old castle.  this incredibly hot redhead was all "hey you should worship a new god b/c i look goooood nekkid" so i was like "yeah sure that works" so i went down to the beach and burned all these icons, idols, and representations of my old gods (well, i say 'gods' because there were 7 representations of one god but that's beside the point).  anyway, later on that night she drank poison when a priest of my old religion tried to poison her.  he drank some, too, in this weird like murder suicide bid.  he died.  she drained the glass and was fine.  then everyone left the room and she seduced me in my war council room.

true story.
