Ohio State has been doing some modelling to see what size crowds they could have under restricted circumstances, should crowds be allowed at all.  They are looking at 20 to 25k under current guidelines, with 45 to 50k under 'relaxed' guidelines.  Ohio Stadium capacity is 100k.

I’m beginning to think there will be football but without crowds. Testing of all players and coaches, trainers, etc. will be mandatory. Even then it’s very possible someone will be infected which could shut the whole thing down. That may even happen before the season starts.

I'm sure players will get infected, we're all going to get it eventually. But yeah, it will be very interesting to see how they handle testing.

Larger groups of people together can potentially cause a spike in the # of virus cases and that probably includes football players and coaching staff.. It will be interesting to see if there is a large spike in cases nationwide after Memorial Day.

Competitive advantage to “B” grade large schools. If you have a stadium that seats 80,000 and you regularly have 20,000 butts in seats. You are good. Can have optimal spacing and even use that as a big recruiting tool. Think Rice’s old stadium. If it’s still there, it’s now a big recruiting tool. CSU would have been better off building an old type 65,000 person bench seat mausoleum.

Rice Stadium is still there...and it aint a recruiting tool under any circumstance.

The MWC football stadiums and associated crowds should work to our advantage this year as there should be more than enough room in stadiums for people to keep their distances, and require 1-2 seats between all groups or parties.  These are outside and people are not breathing other peoples air.  They will have to sell seats in sections instead of indiv. seat numbers probably but this should not be a issue.
The big issue is the schools themselves and how they will handle classes and people on campus.

This is with the assumption that the west coast schools are not playing this year.  We might as well have one intermountain super conference for one season.

West: Nevada, UNLV, Boise State, Arizona, Arizona State, BYU, Utah, and USU.

East: UNM, AFA, CU, CSU, WYO, NMSU, and UTEP.

If this is what we need to play go for. Play empty stadiums or allow 5 to10k into the stadiums.
