EARTHQUAKE!!!

Recommended Posts

#Snowflakes! 6.5's are common up here in Alaska! jk, lol. I've felt several up here over the years, so you kinda just go with it. But when they happen in places where they are somewhat rare... they can be scary AF!

Going to be lots of 2.5-4ish aftershocks. Stay alert up there you guys. And keep an eye out for locusts.

I thought that Jumanji thing was a joke, but dang, lol.

Tomorrow is 2 weeks to the day SLC had it's 5.7 magnitude. Expect aftershocks for a couple weeks after. Earthquakes make you realize that if the earth wants you dead, there isn't a damn thing you can do about it.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

The walls were moving at our house. It only lasted about 15 seconds. It was 6.5 centered near Challis so it dampened out a lot by the time it hit Boise. Very rare occurrence in Boise.

We are lucky because the mountains absorbed the brunt of it.

Any damage to the underground practice facility? What about the pixie stick stadium, did it knock one of the sticks out?

A 6.5 today, you might be having another similar size one or larger within the next 48 hours. After that you will be getting aftershocks for months. We are still getting aftershocks from the Ridgecrest quake that happened back in July. We got a 6.4 and 5.4 back to back, then a 7.1 the next day.
