Evans and Dinwiddie are opposites in one sense. A couple years ago before suffering an injury, Evans was a top 50 national recruit in some people's eyes but he dropped off considerably thereafter and verbaled to Boise but then decommitted to SDSU after we stole assistant coach Chris Acker, who was tremendous this past season himself. Dinwiddie, OTOH, was only lightly recruited out of Fairfax HS in L.A. until kicking butt as a senior. In that sense, Dinwiddie could be another DJ Gay, who was also almost ignored until his senior year at Poly High in L.A.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Top 5 prep from Illinois Isaiah Rivera

I wish the Wyoming would get back to recruiting the Chicago area, we’ve had some pretty good players out of there. ( Jay Straight Brandon Ewing Justin Williams)

MWC facing an uphill battle if they expect to ever pass the WCC in basketball prestige, anytime soon.

I see that when the MWC players have a good season, they frequently bail and join the WCC.

Wyoming/Colorado State needs to up its level of play.

Ummm... CSU was better than 6 of the 10 WCC teams this season. The Rams return 4 of 5 starters next season.

Nice troll job.

Here is reality:

The MWC is on par with the Missouri Valley.   WCC is closer to the A10.

You still defending the Front Range after these numbers?!?!?:

What I want to know is who Fresno State bribed in order to get ranked as high as 161 in the country as a Molehill Worst member with a 10-19 record. The Bulldogs were clearly not in the top half of the country last season. More like bottom third I would say.

Fresno is a blight on the MWC, you are absolutely correct.

What’s the outlook for BYU (and WCC) next year? BYU loses 5 of the top 6 players, right?

Gonzaga will always be good. St. Mary’s looks like they'll take a step back. The Dons bring back their best two but lose a 7-footer. Seems like the WCC could’ve just been a one-year-wonder this year.

I’m not defending either WYO or AFA, both of whom fired their head coaches.  CSU is in its way up after replacing Eustachy folllowing the 2018 season. Like I said, only 4 teams in the WCC were better than them last season and 6 were worse.  Four of the Toip 10 underclassmen in the MWC in 2020 played at CSU, including FOY Isaiah Stevens. Keep an eye on them in the next two years.
