modestobulldog
More reason to vote for Trump, cases are spiking in Europe. Trump was no better or worse than any other leader. More lockdowns are stupid. We need to learn to live with COVID and move on. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/world-europe-54728893 This progressive understands it, even though he doesn't want to vote for Trump or Biden. He thinks Trump is going to win. And as a Democrat, as a progressive, my party has left me. The lockdown policies that the party embraced and continues to embrace are shocking to me. It's as if we just don't care if the economy goes off, the cliff. It's as if the party and the party's leaders just don't care. I don't get it. Mike: I want to be able to help take care of people. You can't do that if we're bankrupt. A positive, healthy safety net is a great thing, but it requires some abundance to be able to provide it. And you can't take the economy of this country and throw it away and then expect that people aren't going to hurt more. It's nonsensical. The shutdown policies of 2020 will be remembered in the history of this country as one of the great debacles. And I think the president owns some of it too, although I do acknowledge and affirm and honor the fact that the man did not order a national shutdown. Mike: The fact remains the president's administration was far too slow in responding to the abuses of the Democratic governors of certain states, including my home state of Virginia, Michigan, and others. And I know that I have friends on the left that are horrified that I'm saying that, but many of them also know, they feel it too because we talk about it together. And you know what, somebody has to just be willing to come out and talk about these things in open with each other. https://notfreeamerica.com/radio-show/nfa-radio-show-episode-10/ 1
Naggsty Butler
Just got word my grandma died of Covid-19 last night. I'm not surprised about it though, she was 92, and has had dementia for the last 10 years. I'm surprised she made it as long as she did. That makes two of my family members dead thanks to Covid-19, my grandma and my dad. This virus sucks. 5 Quote "BYU is like a 4-year-long church dance with 20,000 chaperones all waiting for you to forget to shave one morning so they can throw you out." -GeoAg

In any case I agree -- but doing small things like wearing masks and not allowing super big gatherings *is* learning to live with COVID! But a large group of people don't want to even do that. SalinasSpartan
My sister in law has COVID right now. She’s definitely symptomatic, but not anything close to needing hospitalization though. Her husband, who hasn’t gotten tested, is going out with some friends to a casino tonight. I like the guy, but damn this pisses me off. 3 1

We’re getting 250-350 cases per day on 11-12k tests. Fortunately it’s stayed steady. No increase so far in this recent Fall surge. Part of it I think is that we really don’t need to spend more time inside like a lot of the country. Edit: he meant South Dakota. I’m an idiot... 1 5 1 Quote Thay Haif Said: Quhat Say Thay? Yeah I wish we could get the community outbreaks down. But based on the tracing it’s not gonna happen as long as restaurant/bars are open, even at reduced capacity. 1 Quote Thay Haif Said: Quhat Say Thay? Kinship terminology in English is extremely rudimentary. In many cultures there are far more variegated terms for different relations. 3 Quote Thay Haif Said: Quhat Say Thay?
