Yeah, not a lot of even minimal thinking by Bob & his fellow trumpan republicans - A few Texas Pols said the same warped thinking

I wouldn't be shocked if Texas started busing Covid patients across the border to let Mexico deal with them.

Better hide in your home for the next 3-4 years. Not safe for you to come out. You, too, @UNLV2001

Actually at my age, this shutdown or limited public access hasn't altered my regular doin's much at all

Got my $460 back for VGK tickets so that was a credit to a zero balance credit card...........we don't dine out mich at sit down restaurants.............don't carouse the bars anymore...........worst thing is the lack of sports on TV :(

We were saying the same thing. We don't need to eat out all of the time, have never been big about spending money in stores on things, quit going to movies years ago when people's behavior got disruptive with phones and talking, etc.

Although I do wish I had back part of that money I spent in bars in my 20s. I probably could have spent 1/2 as much every time I walked into one and still had a good time. Would have been a nice addition to the savings now.

You and me both - I burnt plenty of $$ here in Vegas between bars & casino's in my 20's & 30's

I'd bet I've only been in a movie theatre about 6 times since 1990 - Now It's like sports.........stay hone, watch with the pause button, drinks are cheaper & bathroom closer

Only time I go to the strip is if I have some business there........we don't eat at fancy sit down restaurants much if at all, and generally stick to the Henderson area - Might be missing stopping by some local brew pubs now & ten but I can always fill growlers or get their beer to go or at some retail outlets

Being a sedate 60, this whole thing hasn't been all that upsetting...........and my office building is half empty, and I am the only one in my area of offices most of the time, so even my work hasn't been disrupted much

Fortunate that the wife & me have sailed along unscathed for the most part with no economic impact - Now in the next 6 to 12 months my biz might take a bit of a downturn but so far so good

Bob thinks you can just move non-covid ICU patients to the cafeteria and they'll be ok. Let them have free refills on coffee and soda and 10% off the salad bar.

Wait... it doesn't work like that?

The Lt. Governor is a Republican running against the current Governor who is a Democrat, correct?

Sounds like political theater.

Yes, that is correct. The latest polls have Cooper (incumbent Democrat) with a nine point lead over Forest.

Arizona Gov. Doug Ducey is telling people this afternoon to stay home unless necessary to go out and wear masks. Not mandatory orders but he is expressing more concern over virus spread the last few days.

If only he cared more about the citizens of his state than pleasing Herr Donald when he came to town. Their numbers have skyrocketed since he lowered restrictions ahead of Trump's visit.

Yet two days ago he attended an indoor Trump rally with over 3,000 people ( most weren't wearing masks)

North Texas family shaken after 18 relatives test positive for COVID-19 following family gathering

As North Texas watches COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations surge, one family is shouldering a health crisis that they never expected to face.

That crisis, all began on May 30 when just a single relative, unknowingly infected with COVID-19, interacted with seven family members at a surprise birthday party who later tested positive.

Isn’t Houston near the gulf? Send one of those hospital ships down there that New York and California didn’t use.

About 45 miles, but the Houston Ship Channel east of the city leads right to Galveston Bay.

It gives me a headache just trying to think down to your level

Austin has been recruiting medical staff for a 100 bed hospital to be set up in the Austin Convention Center to handle the surge there.

Those who have responded to the recruiting say they are being told a possible mid-July start date.

I wonder if the ship's staffs stood down. They are staffed by both active duty and reserves. It took about a week to get them fully ready to deploy last time.
