An Admirer from the East

Will "Greater Idaho" help BSU to the PAC

Yep..........Nevada should convince Humboldt, Lander, Eureka, Elko, White Pine counties to join Greater Idaho

THose counties just leech off Clark & Washoe - Only reason I didn't include Mineral, Esmeralda & Nye Counties is to keep a contiguous link between Washoe & Clark Counties as a state

Plus, they have a lot of brothels.

Why isn't Eastern Washington included? My family thst lived in Seattle left King county decades ago and now live in Eastern Wash. The whole rural/eastern part of Washington hates King county and wants to suseed.

Hopefully they’re better writers than the rest of the family.

Wait a second. Idaho wants Bandon? As a golfer, I will not allow it. We'll be barricading the Oregon/Idaho border ...

Ok I fat fingered a word or two but nothing is wrong with county. Didn't know we had the grammer Gestapo here.

Should be capitalized when used with the name of the county. For example, “King County.” Yer welcome.

The best and only reason to include them in Oreho.

I took that as him mistaking the first part regarding new states not being able to be formed out of existing states as thinking it applied to the proposed scenario. I guess he felt going for a “mic drop” was better then adding a sentence clarifying his point, I dunno.

Sorry I did not elaborate,  but I was literally heading out the door for work when I first posted. However, I did feel it was relatively self explanatory. My bad I guess.

Aren't rural areas in most states net tax losers?

Sometimes. But one of the reasons Tesla built their battery plant in Reno was because of newer extraction methods for lithium. Guess where high concentrations of extractable lithium are found? Northern Nevada and SW Oregon. Think Oregon is going to let that potential cash cow go?

I do love that Ashland is going to be in this new Idaho. They hippies there have much in common with the folks in Rexburg. And Idahoans are going to love the imminent measles outbreak.

I'm travelling to John Day soon. The very first hotel I looked at advertises an electric car charging station. Methinks Widaho will be in for a surprise when they realize rural Oregon is only super-conservative as long as it's fun to bitch about Portland and Salem.

Depends. If those counties were willing to drop the timber mismanagement lawsuit, maybe Oregon would let them go?

The whole Jefferson area of this proposed state would become Idlib Province. No way they're going to accept being ruled from some far-flung outpost like Boise.

Why would Idaho want more desert and more anti government right wing nuts.  We have plenty of both.  Those in what is now part of Oregon get to enjoy the 6% sales tax and instead of Liberians in Portland making all the laws, they get a bunch of rich ranchers and tax protesters making the laws.  Zero local control as they are afraid that Boise may just get mass transit or some other socialist program.  No, Idaho doesn’t need more flat earthers.

They will get used to it.  Just like the MWC has gotten used to being ruled by their Boise lords.

The entire region will love being Idahoans. Replace the authoritarian tyranny from Sacramento or Salem with fingersteaks, fry sauce, and freedom.
