Gen x, millennials, and gen z are all on the same team here. The dem nom is going to wipe the floor with trump in the under-45 demo.

Facebook and tv are boomer media. Google ads are easy to ignore. YouTube ads are skippable.

i don’t know a single person my age or younger who sits through commercial breaks or ads of any kind. They are entirely avoidable.

OK, if you say that the only voting block that matters is Millennials, then you are free to have that opinion.

Gen X watches sporting events (usually includes commercials), uses Facebook (MWC football games), and uses Google.

Millennials don't watch sports.  Big on Disney, it appears.    So probably no ads.  I don't disagree with you.

Gen Z doesn't vote.

I watch sports (I’m here aren’t I?), but I ignore the ads. They’re not what I’m there for. Most everyone I know besides my parents (boomers) does the same.

Millennials are the largest voting block in the country. If we show up we win. Also, how many people have turned 18 since 2016? I think we’re all going to be surprised by how engaged they are. Any candidate counting on the old vote doesn’t grasp the brave new world we’ve entered.

All I’m saying is that no one wants to be deciding the lesser of two oligarchs in November. The candidates are in full control of whether that happens.

You also don’t know a single person who doesn’t drive a Subaru. Let me tell you, there are people out there who drive cars that are not Subarus.

Did you already upgrade yours this year? I hear the Crosstrek has some nice updates including a more bumper sticker compatible back window.

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

It seems weird to me that people can be swayed by political ads.. They all seem super cringey(like Trumps super bowl commercial) and Bernie’s begging for donations commercial. Maybe they subliminally effect me I don’t know.

Low information voters are going to go with name recognition at the ballot box.

Sanders will never carry Ohio, Michigan, Pennsylvania or Florida in a general election because those states will not vote for a socialist.  End of story.

He'd win Michigan (where he handily took down Clinton in 2016 primary) as well as Wisconsin, but I think you're right about the rest.  Which would put him right around the 250 electoral votes spot (270 to win).

Anyways I liked Pete and Warren tonight but America isn’t voting for a gay man or a woman, hope im wrong.

Nobody ever thought a black person would be president either. It just takes the right candidate with the right platform. I don’t think Pete or Warren/Klobuchar are that candidate

Maybe someone will pick her as their Veep although Bernie and her aren’t the best of friends.

I think Warren and Biden will both do better in NV than they did in other states. Biden has the endorsement of many of the local pols and Warren has invested in her Las Vegas ground game. We'll see if Warren can get some mojo back.  She's doing a rally about 1 mile from my house tomorrow.  Might check it out just for the spectacle.  Maybe a free hot dog or something lol.

I could see those two paired up. It might be a pretty good team.

They just piss me off. I don’t pay attention to any political ads. The second they come on I’m changing the channel or hitting skip ad on YouTube. Bloomberg’s ads are just plain obnoxious, and they are ruining my enjoyment of listening to music on YouTube. Every 3rd video that douche nozzle’s ads come on.

Bingo.

I keep getting texts by somebody named Cody seeking my support for Bernie. There must have been a law preventing parents from naming their kid Cody prior to 1990 because I've sure never met anybody older than 30 who had that name. Cody is quite likely an example of a typical Sanders supporter. Loves the idea of free public higher education for everyone forever because he's in the targeted demographic, hasn't busted his butt in the workforce for multiple decades so hasn't paid jack shit in taxes in his life and just thinks the money to pay for it will somehow fall out of the sky. Also loves the idea of Medicare for all because he hasn't done anything to earn his own private medical plan by virtue of having a job of a significance where his employer couldn't recruit anyone to fill it without providing such a plan. Cody's guy is very likely to get the nomination following which Cody is very unlikely to get his friends to bother to get out and vote in November.

While watching that mess last night I couldn't help envisioning Donald Trump sitting in the West Wing watching in joyful glee while pounding down half a dozen Big Macs and laughing his fat ass off.

what a country yakov

Boom goes the dynamite.

Agreed. Even though Culinary did not officially endorse, Biden was the only candidate named by the spokesperson. I wouldn't be surprised if the unions come out big for Joe. I could see support for Warren too. Bernie seems like a tougher sell here. I think our Dem members are more like the blue-collar Midwest than the coastal libs. I don't think free tuition for all plays as well here. I could be off on that though. Bernie fought the establishment Hillary close here last time.

I remember voting in college, but only because it was a novelty the first time and not because I was big on the candidate. I don’t even remember who I voted for although I leaned left then. Most of my young friends didn’t vote.

The younger generation seems to love Bernie. Whether they will turn out in mass is another question. Even if they do I’m not sure he wins.

Bernie is a generation or two early. I can see the US being a lot more socialist as the boomer generation dies. That seems to be the trend with young people. It’ll be their world, I hope it works out for them.
