Position coach is very, very different. Tons of coaches start at the HS level and then work their way up in college. Besides, they'd be hiring an ex FBS HC

Being a head coach for a few years at Unlv is probably enough to get a position coach job somewhere. Everyone has to start somewhere.

Wow, are you guys really this clueless? Gus Malzahn won an National Championship at Auburn and started in high school. Drinkwitz at Missouri started in high school. It had absolutely nothing to do with him having high school on his resume. It was going from high school straight to being a head coach in college. That was a terribly under qualified hire
