Another thing Fresno has going for AAC membership.  The city of Fresno would be like the 3rd best city in that +++++ing hell hole back East.  Here in the MWC it is the worst.

Just for fun let’s rank them:

San Diego

Boise

Fort Collins

Colorado Springs

Honolulu

Las Vegas

Laramie

Logan

Albuqueque

San Jose

Reno

Fresno

news flash, there is not one other school (besides Boise) that is currently a member of either the MWC or ACC conference that has a better all time winning percentage than Fresno and that includes BYU. There is also not one other school in either the MWC or ACC that has as many conference championships as Fresno with (28).

Wyoming brags about leather helmet stuff too. No one cares.

Exactly. Most just want to go straight to talking about LEDs.

Anyone know that state of the stadium lighting systems in the AAC?

Surely they must have some minimum requirements that must be met for membership. Boise State is probably a non-starter.

Fresno doesn't qualify for AAC admission.  To be in the AAC, you have to have had at least one episode of The First 48 filmed in your city.

The Abq and Vegas give it a run for the money.

The bottom feeding schools in the AAC don't need lights. Who wants to see an EC -  Tulsa matchup anyway ?

Because games played in the 1940’s are so important.

Ok. let's just look at the last 20 years, within the MWC west division

Fresno has had 15 winning seasons

Nevada has had 11 winnings seasons

Hawaii has had 10 winning seasons

SDSU has had 9 winning seasons

UNLV has had 2 winning seasons

SJSU has had 2 winning seasons

the MWC Mtn div with the exception of Boise probably looks pretty similar to the west division, so my argument still stands.  Fresno is still one of the top tier teams in the conference in terms of more recent success.  Even a successful program like Air Force has fewer winning seasons than Fresno over the last 20 years with 13.  Wyoming has only had 6 winning seasons in the last 20 years.

When Fresno is good, they are good, when Fresno is bad they are very bad.

I don't dispute that. Just that their good is generally better than anyone else in the conference with the exception of Boise.  Fresno needs to find some consistency and stability.  Fresno is on their 3rd Head Coach and wholesale assistant coaching staff changes since Coach Harsin was hired in 2014.

You're right, we need to keep it recent, like the last 18 months.

Fresno - 1 MWC Championship & 1 Las Vegas Bowl Win

Boise - 1 MWC Championship & ... I guess that's it.

When Fresno is "good" they are slightly above average.  In those 20 years they have 2 seasons I would consider "good" where they finished in the top 25.  Their only top 25 finishes were in 2004 and 2018.
