It all seems about right, right now. Considering body if work overall.

Maybe Rice or Allen are overpaid.  Rice had some success earlier in his stint. Allen should be a $300k to $400 k coach.

Dutcher should get a raise to $1.5m+ should he and his team make a run in the NCAA at the very least Elite 8.  No reason they should lose the first 2.

Underpaid:

Dutch, Craig Smith , Leon Rice

Need to step it up:

Jean Prioleau, Justin Huston,  Allen Edwards,  Dave Pilopovich

Too soon to know:

TJO, Paul Weir, Nick Medved, Steve Alford.

Leon Rice and Dave Pilopovich are the dean's of MW coaches.

For perspective, According to usatoday, in 2018 Calipari made $9.3 Million at Kentucky. Coach K $7M at Duke. Izzo is #3 at $4.1M from Michigan State.

Greg Marshall at Wichita State (AAC) is #12 overall at $3.5M.

NM, SDSU, and UNLV should be paying more based on turnout to the games.

Kentucky, dook, and MSU get millions from how those basketball teams perform.  They get what they pay for.  Dutcher is showing what he is capable of.  Marshall is overpaid, WSU was scared he would go elsewhere.

Greg Marshall is an elite +++++in’ coach!  He would’ve left if not for the +++++in’ raise! Band he’s better than you’ll ever +++++in’ be!

How so?  The topic is MWC basketball coaching salaries.

To the Prohm and Marshall discussion it doesn't matter what Inn and Out Burger makes.  How did Inn and Out Burgers salary matter in your conversation with Swoll?

Weir is overpaid.

Otzelburger is overpaid. I think they could have gotten him for less.

Dutch is maybe a little underpaid. Pretty sure that will change this year.

And Edwards is on the way out so it doesn't really matter.

All the others seem about right considering experience and/or results.

The real news here is that after years of salary stagnation some schools in the conference starting to find the money to invest in success. Results will vary but at least the budgets are putting us into the next layer of potentially good coaches. SDSU needs to step Dutcher up to $1.3 to $1.5 million per year. He’s earning it. If TJO succeeds we need to find near twice the money for him and staff. Every school in this conference is stepping over dollars to pickup dimes.
