They can't do shit.

SDSU has done very well in BBall, and done fine in Football FINALLY after under-performing for decades, and they just lost a Coach and have to backfill with a guy who bombed out in the big time, so they are very much an unknown right now.

Their biggest problem is that they are landlocked by the PAC who will never add them, and the closest P5 Conference is the Big 12 who could not care less about SDSU, and they don't have much if any appeal as far as a national audience goes like BYU can claim.

What SDSU should be doing instead of crying in their cereal like little bitches is start demanding a bigger share of BBall credits go to the schools that actually earn them instead of perpetuating the welfare system that is currently in place.

They could certainly threaten to sue the other schools..

You are gross sir.

What kind of pathetic, unreasonable, ridiculous institution of higher learning would stoop so so as to threaten litigation against their conference mates?

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I believe that's exactly what they're doing dipshit.

He's essentially saying equal revenue sharing is optimal but if you donkey +++++s want to keep these shenanigans going we're going to keep our tourney credits...

Good for you. Been saying that's how it should be for years.

Schools like SJSU and Fresno contribute next to nothing and get the same slice as a program like SDSU who actually thrives. It is ridiculous.

This is a conference where the members don't like each other, don't trust each other and most want to leave..It is always going to be messy until the weight of it collapses the whole shebang..

Schools can want to leave all they want. There is little interest out there in any of our schools that would actually result in a better situation, and it looks to be that way for the foreseeable future, despite what the delusional  "BOR" enthusiasts want to believe.

MWC schools are what they are, and are where they are.

Agreed..But that doesn't make it a healthy environment.  I fully expect more lawsuits..

Does he think schools are not trying to get better with or without the revenue they have?

Colorado State just built a stadium. San Jose State built a swimming pool, a pile of sand, and the AD got a nice desk for her office. Nevada is in the process of making its stadium in compliance with the ADA again.

Schools try - on a field tilted against them. He also mentioned the uneven TV exposure part which is also important to building a brand.

The more important part was that if Boise State is getting it's share, then they're going to push for SDSU to get its share as well.

If you couple this with what Dutcher is saying, it sounds like SDSU is fixin' to leave the conference..

MWC is the best option for all the school in the conference - EXCEPT if they get the call up to the P5.  That's true for every single team, and I think SDSU is trying to position itself to be an attractive option if expansion happens.

BUT, SDSU will be in good shape otherwise - especially if the other teams in the MWC can grow their brand as well. JD clearly stated that a stronger conference is better for everybody - because it leads to more revenue for everybody.

Here's the part of the interview where JD discusses the revenue sharing "drama". Note what he says about all the P5 home games being put on lower-tier CBSSN - which doesn't help build the brand as much as it could. Could be a reason why it's more difficult to get home and homes with good teams vs Boise State.

Given that Boise 's OOC schedule is fully booked (save 1 spot in 2024) already past the expiration of the new deal, the effect is precisely zero.

He's saying FSU doesn't want to play SDSU at home possibly because the game is on CBS Sports.  If Boise schedules that game is used to be on ESPN and will now be on FS1 and possibly OTA Fox.

Yup, it's a little better under the new deal but is still pretty restrictive

Little late in the game to cancel a 2020 game.

If you're UCF or Florida State, will you be more willing to book a game you know is on ESPN/FS1 versus a game you know is guaranteed to be on CBSSN?

I hope they figure something out on the credits.  Nevada has played in 5 NCAA tourney games over the last 3 years.  I demand my pound of flesh..

Nevada may be bringing more additional revenue to the league than Boise State.
