UNLV leads the all-time series 60-29.

UNLV has lost four straight to the Wolf Pack and six of the last seven

UNLV is 27-17 all-time at UNR, but has lost three of the last four at Lawlor Events Center

The first meeting between the two schools occurred in 1962

UNR is in its first year under head coach Steve Alford. He has a career record of 598-306 (.662) over 29 seasons

The Wolf Pack have lost three of their last four games (all three losses on the road), but have won five straight at home

UNR is 7-2 overall at home this season and 3-0 at Lawlor in MW play. Its only two losses are to Pac-12 teams Utah and USC

The Wolf Pack has won its last 15 Mountain West home games and is 28-2 in its last 30 conference games at Lawlor Events Center.

Jalen Harris leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 18.4 ppg and 6.3 rpg, respectively. Lindsey Drew leads in assists with 4.4 per contest

UNR ranks fifth in the country in 3-point field-goal defense (27.2 percent) and 14th in total 3-pointers made (183). It also ranks 12th in the nation in defensive rebounds per game (29.4). Jazz Johnson ranks first in the MW and 14th in the country in 3-pointers made per game (3.3)

The Runnin’ Rebels (11-9, 6-1) have won three straight games and seven of their last eight

Sophomore guard Marvin Coleman was named this week’s MW Player of the Week after scoring a career high 17 points vs. the Spartans, then recording the program’s first triple-double in 20 years with 11 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and a career-high 11 assists against the Lobos

Junior guard Amauri Hardy leads four UNLV players averaging in double-figure scoring this season with 14.8 points per game (10th in MW), while junior forward Mbacke Diong is the team’s leading rebounder with 9.0 per contest (5th in MW)

UNLV has won each of its last six home games. The six-game Thomas & Mack Center win streak marks the Runnin’ Rebels’ longest since also winning six straight at home five years ago (2014-15). The last time UNLV won seven consecutive at the TMC was in 2012-13

Saturday marked UNLV’s second straight game scoring in the 90s. After scoring a then-season-high 98 vs. San Jose State on Wednesday, the Runnin’ Rebels bested that by a point with 99 vs. New Mexico

UNLV has outrebounded its opponent in 16 of its 20 games this season. UNLV is 10-6 in those contests

UNLV ranks No. 1 or No. 2 in the Mountain West for conference-only games in scoring, scoring margin, field-goal percentage defense, rebounding offense, rebounding defense, rebound margin, steals, offensive rebounds and defensive rebounds. Nationally, the Runnin’ Rebels are eighth in total rebounds, 11th in rebound margin and 23rd in offensive rebounds per game

Sophomore guard Bryce Hamilton has scored in double figures in seven straight games and 12 times overall this season, including a career-high 35 points vs. New Mexico, which was UNLV’s highest scoring output in a game by an individual in four years

UNLV’s 21-point win over New Mexico (99-78) was its largest margin of victory of the year

25 percent of UNLV’s games this season have gone to overtime (5 of 20)

UNLV holds the NCAA record for most consecutive games scoring at least one 3-pointer. Since the 3-point field goal was adopted by the NCAA in 1986-87, UNLV has converted at least one 3-pointer in all 1,090 games played. With Vanderbilt failing to make one Jan. 18 (0 for 25), UNLV and Princeton are the only schools left that have made at least one 3-pointer in every game played since the shot was introduced

The 2019-20 season marks the 62nd year of Runnin’ Rebel basketball at UNLV. Since the program’s inception in 1958-59, the Runnin’ Rebels have posted an all-time record of 1,299-576 (.693)

Jonah Antonio has scored 15, 15 & 14 points in his last three games shooting 14-35 from the arc

Nick Blair is 14-15 from the field in his last four games

19 of Marvin Coleman's 38 assists have come in the last two games

Coleman is scoring at a season high 6.6 ppg

Hamilton is scoring at a season high 12.9 ppg & has a 7 game streak of scoring 13+ points

Hardy needs 135 more points to reach 1000 in his UNLV career

What are the odds on this game?

Haven’t seen a line yet. Pomeroy has Nevada by 5.  Recent trends would probably have them more like a Pick’Em. I’m gonna guess it’ll be somewhere in between.

Nevada is trending down

Vegas is trending up

If Nevada wants to win this one it's going to have to play like it did in the first half against SDSU. I'm not sure they will but the students are back from break. I expect a near sell-out and very loud Lawlor. That's worth 3 or 4 points for the home team.

Looking at the stats for each team over the past 5 games these teams are evenly matched. While each has had good and bad shooting nights I would give the nod to Reno due to home court advantage.  Either way it will be a fun game to watch and give us insight into the future of this rivalry under these 2 new head coaches.

Reno by 8 at home. Lindsey Drew is still my all time favorite pack player. And Jazz Johnson can go off at any time. Really strong backcourt.

Reno definitely has the edge in talent and depth---this game will come down to coaching!

19-19 since the greatest college basketball coach of all-time was fired

FIFY.. I know you guys aren't very bright up North.

...But you would think by now, in light of schools like UNC getting off with a slap on the wrist for falsifying grades in the biggest academic fraud in history for their basketball players, or schools like Arizona, Ohio St, Villanova, Duke, Kansas, etc getting probed by the FBI for paying players and not a SINGLE significant punishment against them from the NCAA, that people like you would understand maybe the ONLY guy that had the balls to call-out the for NCAA their preferential treatment/selective enforcement policies wasn't the cheater they broke the law to frame him to be...where the NCAA's Director of Enforcement called Tark a "dirty rug merchant" because of his Armenian-genocide refugee heritage--- LOL can you imagine if that happened today? They should've erected  Tark statue at every non-P5 school in the country.

NCAA hounded Tark for 30 years at UNLV with zero due process The result? 4 Final Fours, 1 national championship, $2.5 Million settlement check from the NCAA, and 0 vacated victories.

Winners win, losers cry cheat. That's why UNR's athletic success is almost as irrelevant as the city of reno.
