Here is a list of educated states top 10 and Bottom 10......

Funny how this list highly correlates to support for and against Trump.

Not really funny or surprising. It's pretty well documented how the educated/uneducated vote broke down.

Hell, even Trump acknowledged it: "I love the poorly educated".

I always take these lists with a huge grain of salt because if a state is considered "uneducated" it doesn't  necessarily mean they're dumb. They simply don't qualify under the standards listed by the source. Tech, pharmaceutical, Ivy League, and science are not located in the deep South. You'll never see Google headquarters in the buoy of Louisiana or a large pharmaceutical company like Johnson & Johnson near the mines of West Virginia. People who leave the South to get a degree in higher education never go back because there is nothing there for them, so it's obvious those states will be at the bottom of the list. It reminds me of when I see the yearly report about the levels of education in my hometown or the Central Valley here in California. The numbers are always low because the three main categories (tech, medicine, and science) are all located along the bay area near San Francisco or down in LA. Here in the Central Valley it's agriculture and oil....that's it. I would like to see a report on what kind of career services training is provided or how many people earn trade certifications in the states at the bottom of the list compared to the states at the top of the list. Trade certification doesn't necessarily mean a college or higher educational degree. The source only asked people if they have a college education or college experience.

They count more than his vote.  The electoral college, filibuster, and two senators per state effectively deliver the decision making authority to a small slice of the population.  Minority rule is how it works in the USA.

Lol. New Mexico is lucky that Los Alamos exists, or we would be giving Mississippi and West Virginia some serious run.

It’s too bad the Senate and equal representation amongst the States is entrenched in the Constitution. The senate is here to stay no matter what.

Nevada has probably been in the bottom of educated populations for as longs as the states existed

When your main industries require only a pulse and maybe a drivers license, education in a formal isn't required

A 4000 employee casino really doesn't need a bunch of college degrees when 3800 ot those jobs are service, gambling floor, food service, housekeeping, maintenance etc...............then mining was NV's main industry and back when it was shovels and picks thos jobs didn't need any education

Until NV's economy broadens NV will be low on these lists

Impeachment trials and emoluments clauses are also in the constitution.  Nobody follows that crap!

It’s hard to compare populated states versus rural states because rural areas in rural states get less funding and it’s tough to get teachers that want to live in a small town.  Population centers like Boise have very good schools. Small rural towns not so much.

That's the sad part because I love teaching in small rural towns. I like the tight knit communities and I found that the students are more respectable and honest compared to the inner city schools I've worked at.
