Currently New Mexico's class of two has the highest player average in the conference (83.96) with Boise a close second with its 16 commits averaging (83.71).

We're #1! We're #1! We're #1! Have to enjoy it while it last lol.

Lobos pick up another commit this time for S Quintin Potts out of Compton CA. Potts switched schools to better himself and his chances and it paid off. His other two friends did the same thing and all three will be competing in the MWC if they all sign with theri commitments. The other two committed to Fresno St & Nevada.

Potts played QB & LB in HS but will play safety for UNM. Potts is rated as a 3* safety.

Lobos recruiting has picked with many commits.

I'll start with the local commits since they are going to be developmental players.

2* SDE Bryce Santana 6'3" 260 he lead the state of NM in sacks and TFLs. Strong kid with great balance who uses his hands well. He is also plays the HB/FB position and lead the state in rushing TDs, so could factor in on goal line situations.

OL Kyle Alvarado 6'3 240. Class A kid who does.community work as well. A natural leader was a 4 year starter in HS amd made all-state 3 years in a row. Was all-state on both sides of the ball. Edit: His offer is for a PWO.

3* Bobby Wooden 5'11 180 WR/APB Pearland TX.

Wooden is slot WR that has good hands and runs good routes. He also can run the ball which is key being the Lobos will running a spread option offense. So he will be lining up all over the field and creating miss matches for defenses.

Lobos pick up a pair of tall, fast WRs in

3* Jace Taylor 6'5" 200 Lake Havasu AZ.

3* Elijah Queen 6'4" 170 Harbor City CA.

Both WRs are good route runners not just big and fast. They know how to use their bodies and will the Lobos sone downfield and redzone options.

2* Conner Witthoft TE 6'5" 250 can do it all. Blocks like an OL but can catch like a WR. Was a stud DE as well so very athletic for his size and lives to hit people. Extremely underrated recruit. Former Memphis commit was offered by Oregon (PWO) and ASU.
