This F’n conference is a joke.

All members are not treated equally. TV deal favors Boise St just to keep them in the conference. No school gets to keep its own tier 3 tv deals. Travel subs still an issue.

Seriously what other conference favors a certain member? Seriously what other conference penalizes a certain member?

Bunch of coattail riding institutions . Now I know why BYU left.

Forgot to mention that the tv deal favors Hawai'i also, so not sure why you would complain about Boise State getting more...

At least Spectrum likely negotiated with MW/CBS/FOX to make sure no more than 4 games are given up a year. Hopefully that allows them to bump up the revenue a bit for us when up for contract negotiations. Only issue is we play at Oregon and at Arizona which are P12N. So they would have up to 11 games max (or 7 games minimum) in inventory

We only lose the 20% that comes from the basketball side, if the Big West had better basketball and was able to make up that 20% in difference the issue wouldn't matter.

The travel subsidies are still an issue. Hopefully Lasner, Matlin, Rolo, etc. can tackle that issue someday.

If it's so terrible, go be an independent and start up your new annual home and home series with the University of Guam then.

Why didn't you guys push for change? This was the time.

Wasn’t the time, they were only reviewing the TV deal, we will after we win the MWC championship next year.

University of Guam is an RPI killer.

The point being that no school should be favored to create an equal playing field.

BTW it does not favor Hawaii, it improves for Hawaii but still not fair. That’s where there was issues with BYU, them not allowed to keep their tier 3 TV deal plus equal share of the conference deal.

Good idea, they would provide better competition for us and better for our SOS.

They probably also can't afford soap in their showers either. You should do it. You'd be where you belong with your peer institutions.

Ya their basketball sucks but it should improve our SOS for football.

Last time Boise negotiates separate according to Hair.  Tier 3 rights back to schools would be great though.

If Hawaii doesn't like the MWC, they should do what UConn and BYU did, and leave, and go Indy.

I don't think Hawaii will do it, though.  They are sort of a Coward School----too risk adverse. (no offense....just the truth)

BYU even tried to schedule an annual rivalry with Hawaii (which could have helped Hawaii transition to Indy) and it was canceled by Norm Chow.

I do feel bad for Hawaii fans, though.  It is expensive living in Hawaii.

Rumor has it that Curt Apsey has naked pictures of Thompson at the strip club in Vegas the weekend of the Mountain West Basketball Tournament.

It’s more than fair for you. You guys are gonna get like 200k less than SDSU and you have only one sport in the Conference.

Hopefully the MWC dropped the travel subsidy, though.

Hawaii shouldn't have to pay that.  Schools get to schedule a 13th game to offset the cost.
