Bowl Record by Conference thus Far

Negative.  TCUs defense continues to be stout.  Its our offense that currently sucks right now.  Baylor got to the Sugar Bowl on the strength of their defense.  Kansas State certainly didnt win 8 games by outscoring teams.  Texas' defense is schizophrenic.

TCU was 27th in total defense, Tech 126th.  I will be happy to hear how there is no difference.

What's the fan take on Patterson?  Is he still the right coach for TCU?   Or is it becoming a bit stale?  Honest question;  I haven't followed TCU closely for a couple seasons now but do see the scores.  Hard to believe they aren't bowl eligible.

Most want him to fire OC Sonny Cumbie and a couple others.  A small number think he may be too loyal/stubborn to do that.  Unless the program totally falls apart, the job is his.  He has built up too much cred.  The last time they retooled, the NY6 followed.  Any big moves may wait until February.  A couple plays were literally the difference between 5 and 8 wins, but maybe it will be a blessing in disguise.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Best of luck, understand the coaching loyalty thing for sure.  And solid coordinators are always the key IMO.   Been a fan of TCU since our games together.

The OC and DC need to be the most intelligent guys on your football staff, plus have the ability to adjust on the fly. You get two guys like that and assistants that can recruit and teach their position groups well and the head coach is window dressing and needs to stay out of the way.

Big 12 has given up on defense, they all try to outscore each other and defense has gone out the window.  TCU has lost their way as they used to have the great defenses but now their not any different than Tex Tech or Okie St.

This is more or less true of the ACC and Pac12 as well. Only the SEC and Big10 remember what defense is. Several conferences in the G5 also have more or less forgotten the D. The AAC is one of them.

Thus far it's the SEC (aka NFL lite) hands down for post season.  NFL Lite is matched up only against P5 bigger boys post season; excluding PAC matchup. Which begs a good strong question..there needs to be an automatic PAC/SEC gig post season and there is not. Kick ACC out of the Sun Bowl in El Paso and that solves that.

SEC Snapshot

v. XII... clean sweep.  Georgia, Aggy, and LSU.

v. BiG...it's 1-1 with Tennessee to go over Indiana later today.  Auburn screwed the pooch and Alabama just did its thing.

v. ACC..it's 2-1 with The One to Go.  Only Mississippi State and its internal mayhem lost out.  LSU over Clemson of course.

Monday night the 13th.   8-2.  SEC.
