La Tech Shuts Out Miami...

Recommended Posts

Congrats to CUSA’s La Tech, shutting out ACC Miami in the Independence Bowl, 14-0. La Tech finishes 10-3. No Class Miami, runs off the field rather than congratulating the bulldogs, after trash talking all game long.

Was Miami that bad this season or is LA Tech that good (or is their DC will be a P5 DC next season good)?

How does Cusa get better bowl tie in the the MWC

They dont.  The SEC couldnt fill the spot.  And starting next yr the Indy Bowl slides further down the ladder - its part of ESPNs G5 bowl pool.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Well, Miami is now 6-7, and people want Manny Diaz fired.  And this was a home game for LaTech, which is an hr away.

Both offenses are “SDSUesque.” The QB play for the U was shockingly bad.

Well at least until we erupted in Albuquerque 😂

Bowl games are weird and aren't always a good indication of how a teams season went.  I will say though that Miami has been bad this year and their offense and QB play has been lacking.  I believe Miami just fired their OC

Miami had seven guys sit out who are hoping to go pro.  That’s basically a third of their starting lineup.  If a Boise or any other MWC had that scenario happen against a La Tech every one on here would be screaming about how the MW team was without all of its starters...

Bingo. Too many bowl games and too many watered down lineups due to players "saving themselves" for the NFL. Should be an NCAA requirement for scholarship athletes to play in the bowl games or risk loss of scholarship, retroactively if necessary.

Eh.  Coaches bail on kids and take new jobs.  Why can't kids look out for their interest?  It gives younger kids a chance to play and these bowl games don't mean jack shit anyway.  Does anyone really care who won between these two teams?

The fans. The players. The donors. The staffs. Other than that, no one really cares.

Either finish what you start or don't start at all.

Every team has players sit out, why does only the loser get to use that excuse?

Shit. We haven't played yet, but we can use that excuse? Our whole team's suspended!

So true.  At least the Aztecs dont pretend to be a passing team.

Remember when Miami had all kinds of talent at the offensive skill positions? All kinds of running backs and wide receivers who would just kill you?  I didnt see any of those players on the field for Miami.  I think All the top preps from Florida are either going to the SEC or top programs like Ohio State and Clemson.
