It was just announced that FSU has hired Norvell to be there next HC. That was fast. Not sure if he'll coach Memphis in the bowl game.

I wonder if that’ll be a factor in determining if Memphis gets the cotton bowl or Boise does.

No.

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Not a chance.

Memphis is a lock even if Dirty Sanchez steps in.

Agreed. But could you imagine the 'P6' meltdown that would occur if they jump Boise over them? Man, it would be glorious.

Yikes. He's a good coach and in a vacuum it's a good hire, but he isn't worth 20 million dollars in addition to his contract.

Harsin is a better coach, but he has a very close relationship with his local Carl’s Jr.

Likely why he turned down the FSU, Mizzou and Ole Miss jobs.

Not even a blip on the CFPC radar, they’re too busy filling “Depends” due to the B1G Championship game.

More than a blip, since its the committee that chooses the G5 team.

As for Ohio State, I dont think theyre that worried.  Fair chance they are in even if they do lose.  Same if LSU had lost.

It’s a piece of cake decision, two ranked G5’s in the conference championship, the higher ranked team won.  Again, not even a blip - easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Ohio State loses, they’re out.

UGA is much more a candidate with the schedule they faced.

No way a two loss Georgia (that got blown out) gets in over Ohio St if they were to lose.

Disagree, UGA had a much more difficult schedule - but it’s a moot point as Wisconsin is shitting the bed in the second half.

That's like saying a two loss Cincy would get the NY6 over a one loss Boise. Wisconsin and OU would both jump over Georgia if that were the case.

2 loss Cincy would’ve gotten in over Boise.  They were right behind Boise and would’ve beaten a higher ranked team on the road vs an unranked Hawaii at home.  Just be glad you didn’t have to sit through that tough reality.  They mentioned it during the AAC championship game.

The anmouncers were just speculating that's what they get paid to do.
