He is contacting DRF at UNLV.  You heard it here first....

That is an interesting thought.

Could arguably one of the best coaches in college football turn Unlv football around?

I would love to watch him try.  It would be his biggest test.  Not sure if even he could do it.

Health concerns? Moving on to a bigger job?

My first thought was USC with Helton being on the hot seat, but it says he's taking a job within The Washington Athletic Department. Who know's at this point

Petersen will transition into a leadership advisory role for Husky Athletics.

Sounds like he's tired of the drama and stress that comes with being a head football coach and thinks he can make a difference in the athletic department.  A "reportedly" big reason for him leaving Boise was his dislike of some administration at the time.  Early semi-retirement to enjoy the good life it sounds like.

Tired and then a school will pull him out of retirement in a few years.

Just spoke to a someone close to Chris Petersen on him stepping down: “There’s no illness or ulterior motive to his retirement. He just needs to re-charge.”

In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Pete and Kellen could be back together again.

Well, Kellen will need a job in a few weeks.  Maybe Petersen's new role will include a secretary.

A Petersen and Moore coaching combo at the college level would be lethal. Your school could only dream about such a coaching juggernaut.

Would love to see what Chris Peterson could do in the BIG12

PAC12 / Left Coast football is dying.  Still strong in the other P5 conferences.

OC?

Chris Peterson is probably better than your current head coach.
