Crazy Week but it still time for Air Force vs Fresno State plus more

Crazy week at home with some off the scale temperatures (both fever's and outside 11 degree temperatures) but the week is heating up culminating with Air Force (AF) vs Fresno State (FSU) at 5pm MST tonight.  Giant shoutout to women's soccer on win over UNLV (now 8-3-1) and a road win for women's volleyball over #2 MWC Nevada! Hockey played Friday night and led #9 Notre Dame 2-0 but fell 3-4 for the loss (and they play again on national TV vs Notre Dame on Sunday).

If there ever was a must win for the Falcons it is today (or should I say tonight) at their 5pm kickoff vs the Fresno State Bulldogs. Don't have time to give you all the 'inside knowledge' that I have gleaned from my couch or while flying at 38,000' half way between Denver and Omaha, but some quick and dirty thoughts:

- Ugly loss at Navy and things that pointed to areas AF must address and this is directed at the coaching staff:  Adapt and make adjustments to what the other team is doing is a must for every team in every game (as we all know) and AF did not do that or did it too late (ie: .  To be held to <110 yards rushing even by a service academy is just plain wrong.  Make some changes in schemes, blocking or personnel.  FSU will watch that tape and will be ready for the Falcons if we do not mix it up.  They are ranked something like #55 in the nation vs the run and, even with not playing an option team in recent years, they will be ready for the Falcons (plus they had a bye week to prepare).  

- Ugly loss at navy and things that pointed to individual player decisions:  Players stood up and put the blame on themselves after the Navy loss and I respect that.  Fumbles, one interception, PENALTIES, catchable balls, you name it.  Fix this and we are in this game to win.

- OL which has been very good must step it up this week.

- Love the passing game vs Navy in the 2nd half where we threw to 5 different receivers vs 2 different receivers in the first half.

- DB's and LB's will be challenged this week vs a balanced FSU offense.

Air Force needs to learn how to tackle, to much yards after the catch.

I'd agree... but we had a bye week to prep for this.

Yeah I just turned the game on and saw the last TD. Our defenders look lost out there.
