SDSU's Mission Valley Campus Expansion

Recommended Posts

According to page 6 & 29 of the attached master report, SDSU's Mission Valley Campus expansion would increase full time equivalent student enrollment by 15,000 to 20,000 (see bottom of page 6).  Eventual school enrollment could reach anywhere between 50,000 and 55,000 students, surpassing enrollment figures of either USC or UCLA.

Hovering around 35,000 students, SDSU is currently the largest university in the Mountain West Conference. Enrollment of 55,000 would completely overshadow other Mountain West institutions, and could place SDSU #2 in the Pac-12 and #1 in the Big XII. When all is said and done, SDSU could eventually become the 5th largest university in the United States.

Just heard from my connection in the top offices of both conferences. They are overnighting membership contracts. Congratulations!

You guys act like the additional 15-20k will be added all at once instead of over a 20+ year period. I think the best thing is this many new seats should allow for a reasonable cut out of reserved spots for local kids so SDSU continues to serve the region as intended.
