bsu_alum9
just got a 6’-11” PF with an offer from Columbia (#ivyoffers) as well as Ohio, Rice, Richmond, and George Mason. Lots of post up dunks but isn’t afraid to shoot threes either.

Cancelled trips to Texas Tech, Arkansas, and TCU. The only bad thing about this is that SDSU wasn't even on him until they snagged Boise's asst coach. Basically means he'd have picked Boise if that hadn't happened. He'd easily be the biggest recruit Boise has ever signed.

Yeah...sounds a lot more likely SDSU based on that zagsblog post - but the fact that Leon and Co. were visiting him yesterday should help. This recruiting class is going to need to be good for BSU as they lose a lot over the next two seasons. 5 seniors (could be the whole starting 5 in 19/20), 5 juniors, and 5 freshman on the roster for BSU. Also, all six crystal ball predictions have him going to SDSU. He'd be such a huge recruit for Boise. With Alston, Akot, Kigab, and Evans next year would be the most athletic team in Boise history by 10 furlongs. Even without Evans, it'll be. But with him, geez. bsu_alum9
Well, Evans picked SDSU. I still hope there is a chance we can get a bounce-back juco Jaycson Bereal. Rice has had a rough go of it in recruiting high schoolers the last couple of years.
bsu_alum9
A walk-on JUCO transfer has been added to the team. (freshman at SW Oregon, sophomore at USU - Eastern). Went to HS in Lehi, Utah and looked like he planned on a mission after high school. https://www.prephoops.com/2017/01/player-interview-chase-berry/ Averaged 8 points, 5 boards, and 2 assists last season in 31 starts at USU-Eastern. He seems massively under the radar. His dad Sean Pryor was a JUCO All-American, then played at Oregon State and professionally in Europe for a while. He coached at New Mexico Highlands University, Chicago State, and is now an athletic academic adviser at Eastern Michigan. Kasean seems like he could develop into a pretty great player. He still lacks a bit of explosiveness and looks a bit like Alston when he first got here. Has a good three-point shot - a holdover from when he was 5'-11" as an 8th grader. https://www.mlive.com/highschoolsports/2019/09/former-pioneer-star-kasean-pryor-goes-from-late-bloomer-to-boise-state-hoops-commit.html

So did Jace Whiting - but it's being reported that he will serve a 2-year LDS mission before enrolling at BSU. With all the seniors that will be lost - I'd bet the coaching staff leans heavily on the transfer portal again this year.
