#18 Hawai’i stays perfect at 7-0 with a 3-1 win against West Virginia. Looked lost the first set but cruises to pretty comfy wins (8+ each) the next 3 sets.

huge loss though with one of the transfers Jolie Rasmussen going down with an ankle injury. Hopefully she’s not down for long and the season is still early. Good thing the team has many players who can contribute.

Holy shit. Killed em.

Unrelated: I wonder why CSU's coach hasn't moved on to a better school after so much success?

Duh.

#SuperiorLifestyle 😀

Hilbert was offered the CU job several years ago.  CSU bumped his pay to make sure he stayed.  One of his former assistants in now at CU and doing a great job.

Believe it or not, Fort Collins is home to more career D-1 Women’s Volleyball wins than anywhere else in the country.  Hilbert has won a ton but there are 5 other ex D-1 coaches living here now from schools such as Nebraska, Ohio State, Washington State/UNLV, South Carolina and Iowa State.

Hawaii beats 2 top 25 teams over the weekend. @jdgaucho  what you say?

Hawaii takes down #12 Washington in 4 sets.

I say impressive.  Best start in the post-Dave Shoji era.

Hawaii's gonna move up.  Thanks to their friends from Cal Poly upsetting #16 Utah.

Cal Poly's next opponent is CSU.  A bubble match for Slo?

I’m going to try to catch a match later this week.  CSU has a tough match against Cal Poly on Thursday night that I cant make but Friday night might be an option.

I am planning to attend the CSU-Fresno State match in early October.  That will be a special night as I will be hosting an old high school friend who is the owner/editor of volleyballmag.com.  He’ll be in town primarily to experience the #SuperiorLifestyle associated with New Belgium Brewery but we’ve set up an opportunity for him to meet and sit with several of the ex D-1 coaches who have retired to Fort Collins and attend matches.

Thanks to the losses ahead of Hawaii they moved from 18th to 13th.

If somehow Hawai’i can win both Mizzou and Baylor this next weekend guarantee we would be back in the top 10 for the first time since Robyn took over. Hopefully they can at least split and still move up a spot or two

Speaking of climbing up the polls, I reckon UC Santa Barbara may be ranked soon too.  First win over UCLA since '98 and a sweep, at that.

CSU is going to wreck the MWC again. The only team that ever puts of a fight lately is Wyoming and they look to be down this year. Crown 'em!

Boise has been consistently near the top and I think they will provide CSU with their biggest challenge.
