Is "Old Town Road" the worst song ever written?

Is the #1 single by Lil Nas X the worst song ever recorded?

  1. 1. Do you consider "Old Town Road" the worst song of all time?

    • Yes. Absolutely. There is nothing, at all, redeeming about the song.

    • Not sure, I have not heard it.

someone left the cake out in the rain

I don't think that I can take it
'Cause it took so long to bake it
And I'll never have that recipe again
Oooh, nooo! oh oh no no!!

You bet...though I’ll argue that Pearl Jam is the Nickelback of the 90s.

That's the truest thing anyone has ever written on here.

The song has a good beat and a talented singer.  The lyrics are childish, but most hit songs fit the same bill.  I grew up on bands like AC/DC and albums like Back in Black.  Not the best lyrics on those songs, but the music sounded great, even better live.

You're going to burn into the everlasting fires of hell for this.

How does an allegedly diehard atheist condemn someone to something they admittedly dont believe exists?

Pearl Jam sucks. Eddie Vedder sings like he has a mouth full of baked beans. They’re essentially Bad Company with knitted hats and neck beards.

Well, that's better than Kurt singing like he has a mouth full of marbles.  PJ is okay but Soundgarden and Alice are where it's at!!!

I love Pearl Jam! Shut the hell up

If you buy their records, you'll buy anything. I should make a video of a midget with a mouthful of baked beans belting off things that make no sense with half-cocked political rants mixed in...I could sell it to you and make a king's ransom. I mean, it'd be no different than PJ, after all.

I love AiC and Soundgarden...even early Nirvana.

Layne and Chris both had amazing voices but in different ways.  With Layne you could feel the pain when he sang and Chris could hit those high notes!

I’ve never heard Old Town Road. Not even once.

Neither have I.

I listened to it (actually watched the music video) the other day for the first time.

I admit, it was kind of a funny music video to watch one or two times.  Chris Rock made me laugh.

That's what gave Nirvana's music it's charm. It added to the grittiness.

I probably like grunge more than anyone here and have probably listened to as many if not more grunge albums, obscure and mainstream, as anyone here, and it's my opinion that Pearl Jam sucks ass. PJ was/is derivative shit. They weren't even a top 5 band to come out of Seattle in that era.
