2/3ds of Americans think the EC should go

So, if you believe that, then what is the problem with keeping the EC?  If you just go with the popular vote, then the election will decided by just a few metro areas.

1. It would lead to equality among the electorate.

2. I dont think small towns and states would be ignored. When a candidate goes to a state like Ohio they spend plenty of time in small towns instead of just Cincinnati and Cleveland.  They also go to small states like Nevada and New Hampshire,  instead of just Ohio and Florida.

Is this the same Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where approx. 60% of the membership lives outside the US and Canada?  It can hardly be classified as a strictly homogeneous white mostly just in Utah religion.....Just saying.

It would disenfranchise 40+ states whose voters would no longer matter.

You don't think thats for sure.

All that would matter would be a few big cities.   99% of the land mass of this country would have to live by the rules of the 1% of idiots who live in a few cities.

This is all a waste of time to discuss. The EC will not go away for many, many years.

It would require states like Wyoming, Idaho, the Dakotas, Montana etc. to vote to hand over the little bit of leverage they have in influencing the federal government. These states will  NEVER pass that , and give up that power to Illinois, New York and California. They just won't do it.

Do you dispute the polling?

He won by running up the score with majority. Something you guys seem to hate

Do you even understand what the word “demographic” means?  Trump had majorities in several demographic categories not just one...  men, certain income levels, religion based demographics, age groups, etc.  I understand polling just fine.  You’re trying to defend an indefensible and false claim or you’re just being intentionally obtuse.

What category do most of his voters fall under?

So instead of the majority of this country which is white being the majority.

You want to change that and you claim that is more democratic.   HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

The only thing you care about is teams.

He had majorities in more than “one demographic”.  Period.  Not debating it any further.

Demographics that fall under the same umbrella.

FWIW, I'm not calling for some demographics to have disproportionate power, you are.

The only 2 that seen to matter to you guys are rural and urban voters

You want everyone to live under the rule of a few square miles of city dwellers and the rules they want.

I am glad we have a constitution that protect us from socialists like you.

Actually, "the country" voted for Hillary last election.

...as did numerous citizens from different countries.
