Bulldog and Bronco openers both on ESPN

Recommended Posts

ESPN picked up Boise State-Florida State at 4pm and Fresno State-USC at 7:30pm. Yes, that's back-to-back on opening weekend.

The MWC couldn't have asked for better opening week exposure.

I'm loving that opening week too.  Utah @ BYU will be on ESPN as well CSU vs CU.

Guess ESPN is trying to woo the Pac-12 for the next media rights deal.

Let’s just hope we both take advantage of it and don’t shit the bed.

Yes except none of those are Saturday night. It is nice coverage for the AAC but in week 1 both the east coast and west coast will see MWC games in the respective 7pm Saturday time slots on ESPN.

Currently it looks like the strongest games opposite the MWC games will be Oregon-Auburn on ABC during the Boise game and New Mexico St@Washington St on the PAC12 network during the Fresno game.

2 away games on ESPN against one national ABC game and one conference network game

=

2 ESPN home games opposed only by conference network games, one game on Saturday on ABC at home only opposed by ESPN (South Alabama vs Nebraska) and 2 conference network games, and the only football game on ABC Sunday primetime at home.

Those are exactly the same.

Home games are cool, but nobody really gives a shit if they're watching on TV.  Home or away doesn't matter on TV.

LOL, then also give the Rammies some recognition. Colorado State vs Colorado Friday August 31 on ESPN.

Not if it’s on a blue field.

Or if you're signing a new TV deal and home games are the inventory you are selling, so home game viewers = $$$

3 away games on ESPN; one opposed by conference networks, one against FS1 and conference networks, and one opposed by a national ABC game and a conference network game

=

2 ESPN home games opposed only by conference network games.

2 ABC home games, one only opposed by ESPN (South Alabama vs Nebraska) and 2 conference network games, on Saturday and one that is the only football game on ABC Sunday primetime.

Those are exactly the same.

Corrected for error per FresnoFacts
