Ben Carson tells Democrats to fix immigration policies

Recommended Posts

Dems upset with Ben Carson kicking illegals out of Federal Housing.  Because THAT'S THE LAW!
We have US citizens homeless with illegals getting fed housing.

Rep. Carolyn Maloney, D-N.Y., who claimed that Carson's plan "would bring nothing but despair to thousands of American families."

"If you read the rule carefully," Carsom said, "you will see that it provides a six-month deferral on request, if they have not found another place to live." Carson said that deferral can then be renewed twice, "for a total of 18 months, which is plenty of time for Congress to engage in comprehensive immigration reform so that this becomes a moot point."

But we all know the Dems WON'T fix any existing laws, they'll just try to circumvent the current laws.

Why didn't the Republicans fix this when they had the house, senate and presidency?

That's easy. They wanted to keep using it as a political tool.

They democrats blocked it in the Senate.  You need 60 votes in the senate moron.

Do you even know how our government works.    Do i have to link the sesame street video for you and Retro again.

ut many Democrats, particularly in the House, are horrified that their leaders would even agree to discuss issues beyond legal status for Dreamers and limited measures to curb illegal immigration. The concerns span multiple factions of the Democratic conference, and, combined with opposition from Republican immigration hard-liners, they could put passage of a DACA deal at risk.

During a tense meeting Tuesday night, Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi of California and other top Democrats were dressed down by rank-and-file Democrats over the talks.

“We’re willing to give a little when it comes to border security, but we’re not willing to give away the whole hog and farm,” said Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-Ariz.), a member of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus who attended the meeting.

To be fair, the plan would kick out 55,000 documented American kids who live with "illegals".

It's so discouraging that the HUD Sec doesn't know what an REO is.  He would learn this term on day one if he had any interest in doing anything in the department. All the best people.

Our immigration laws are phucked up and unfortunately politics get in the way of fixing them. They need to put ten Democrats and ten Republican congressmen into a room and tell them they can’t leave until they come up with a solution that the rest of congress has to abide by.

I know he was once a brain surgeon and that's a very serious job. But Carson doesn't seem to be all there since he got involved in politics. Has he ever had a stroke?

Or maybe he just doesn't care.  Either way, he looked incredibly ignorant and disinterested yesterday.

I'm just shocked that Trump appointed someone that was completely unqualified for their job.

He's looked that way since the first time I saw him debate in 2016.

Dems are as bad as the GOP.  Rarely does either party want to fix anything.  They primarily want to fear monger, fundraise and campaign on the issue.  Modern politcal parties and politicians want to win.  If they just happen to every once in awhile govern along the way thats like candy sprinkles on a cow pat.  Cynical?  Yep. I've become very much so.

Thats the thing, we can't have brain surgeons and doctors and smart people running gov't.  We need gov't bureaucrats who spend their lives writing gov't regulations and determining laws and restrictions on how people should live.  Right?
