I agree. Those guys over there need to stop acting like dicks all the time.

Planning is an exercise of power, and in a modern state much real power is suffused with boredom. The agents of planning are usually boring; the planning process is boring; the implementation of plans is always boring. In a democracy boredom works for bureaucracies and corporations as smell works for skunk. It keeps danger away. Power does not have to be exercised behind the scenes. It can be open. The audience is asleep. The modern world is forged amidst our inattention.

Back in the last century it didn't matter what letter was next to your name, many opposite aisle representatives and senators were good friends and tried to work together for the most part. Now look at it, not only is Congress 2 houses divided, but it has spilled into the public consciousness. Look at our conversations on the MWC board. Now, while I will never compromise my beliefs for anything, I would be willing to compromise in an action to achieve some sort of positive result.

Personally I'd be fir an entire legislative termination and to hold a mass and sweeping new election for both houses

It’s not likely it’s going to end anytime soon either. Both parties are doubling down on making the other party look bad. We have as much responsibility because we elected these people. And let’s face it most of us are unwilling to compromise on important issues.

I cant compromise on open borders which is essentially what we have right now.

There are only a few issues I will not compromise on.  To me our most pressing issue that we should compromise on is our spending. It has to be reduced.

A century ago the fabric of the country hadn't been destroyed by socialists.  Our economy wasn't held hostage by a debt 110% + of debt to GDP with many in congress wanting to increase that many times more.

They did not have the fate of our economy, civil war facing them so directly a century ago.    Then FDR came, destroyed individual rights and our economic future.  So now there are issues that need to be fought.

Yes, in the time of tammany hall and the pardons after the Johnson county war and before secret ballots,  the letter next to your name didn't matter.

Crack a book

Remember that every argument you have with someone on MWCboard is actually the continuation of a different argument they had with someone else also on MWCboard.

Part of the "it's cyclical" and "if you are going to compare it to a time, actually compare it to an appropriate time for the point you're trying to make" crowd.

If you don't want to be called out so much, stop posting such stupidly wrong shit. It's okay to be informed
