New Football Bowl in Dallas?

I was thinking Frisco/Miami Beach Bowl might have another move.

Doubtful.  The location works for the ESPN 'stadium as TV studio' concept, and the city itself is agressive about obtaining such properties.  The 1st Responders Bowl is the far more likely one to move.  They changed their name from Heart of Dallas to keep their options open, and its a fact that they've talked to people in Austin about a move.  And the city is subsidizing it (not a popular move locally) in order to justify the millions they poured into the Cotton Bowl.  Both bowls are a waste of time, but the Frisco Bowl is in better shape.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

Nothing says "reward" more than playing an outdoor game...in Boston...in December.... in an empty baseball stadium. They do realize that nobody in Boston gives a single fvck about college football?

Potato Bowl played outside....in Spuds CIty....in December....versus the MAC?   Naaaaahhhh!   AAC adds another bowl against P5 opponent! :Clapping:

Speaking of not giving a single fxxx....

Holiday Bowl in San Diego?

Copper Bowl?

Freedom Bowl?

Vegas Bowl?

Poinsettia Bowl in San Diego?  That's 0 for 2 in San Diego, MWC's primary warm weather site.  Do you realize that nobody in San Diego give a singe fxxx about MWC football?

Until flagship schools start getting gazebos like Tulsa they are the program to emulate.  The stadium, bowl wins, and student support are second to none.

BTW...MWC never had slots in the Holiday, Copper (now Cheez-It), or Freedom (dead 25 years) bowls.  Just like the AAC has never had slots in similar bowls in the South and Southeast.  Poinsettia died, and y'all killed off the Miami Beach Bowl.  MWC had Vegas.  AAC had Russell Athletic and Belk.  Congrats.  Equals again.

Poinsettia Bowl folded

Holiday Bowl is typically well attended  by both PAC and B1G fans.

Football aside,is it easier to get your fan base to travel to San Diego or Boston in December?

One thing is certain, nobody wants to travel to Tulsa, Ever.

Let's put it this way - Tulsa's last bowl game was the last Miami Beach Bowl.  A game so well attended they moved it to Frisco, Tx the next season.

2018 Frisco Bowl:  Ohio 27, SDSU 0?

Hmmmm.  Would that be those Aztecs from SDSU in the MWC?  Goodness gracious, it is!  Why are the Aztecs doing1,374 miles from home?

Since the Poinsetta Bowl due to lack of interest in MWC football, it is definitely Boston that is the far better site for a bowl.

2018 Frisco Bowl:  Ohio 27, SDSU 0.  It is 1,374 miles from San Diego to Frisco.

Okay, then, you got the better of me.  I admit Aztecs won't travel to Tulsa but will travel to Frisco.
