MWC Football HC Seat Temperature

At this point I don't think NM can buy out Davie's contract so he is probably there for the rest of his contract. So wouldn't put him on the hot seat for that reason.

UNLV, I think unless Sanchez totally craps the bed, I am thinking he is protected at UNLV.

San Jose St doesn't seem to care about athletics so I think their coach is safe.

Really personally, I think #1 on the list has to be Bobo at Colorado St.

He is literally a placeholder that only kept his job this long because he's a great salesman/fundraiser. With UNLV Football's tradition of failure, there's no point in trying to lure a good coach until we can use the $35 million football practice facility and $2 billion stadium as bait. Unless Sanchez pulls a bowl-win season out of his ass, he's just a warm body to roll a team out there this season while the new facilities undergo construction.

Rolo being #1 on the Hot Seat...? the guy had his team go to 2 bowls in 3 seasons, for a team that had to go through the Chow depression years. That's pretty good. Had to deal with a full on reshuffle last year and still got the team to a bowl.

At most Rolovich would be middle of the pack. He's not perfect, but for the salary he's paid he's undervalued.

You guys have the funds for a good coach? Not trolling, serious question.  The FB coach salary would have to be increased significantly.  Although it is smart to not pay Sanchez much since he brought little experience.  The bball donors ponied up decent funds.  Do you have FB donors that will do the same?

UNLV footed the bill for the 5-year $7 million Otzelberger contract without a dime of booster/donor cash (When DRF went rogue with Otz the donors pulled their pledges....typical UNLV boosters--all flash no cash)---Luckily, UNLV is actually pretty flush right now because they inked a $60 million multimedia deal with Learfield Communications for TV, digital, radio, signage, etc--- You can thank the Las Vegas Stadium for that sweetheart deal, its already paying dividends for UNLV and its still only a steel/concrete frame right now.

So to answer your question, yeah I think UNLV will be poised to offer a very competitive salary to land a big splash HC to go along with their elite facilities.

Okay...

You sure do shit post quite a bit.

That’s why you’d never survive as a bookie because the diarrhea in your brain makes you so fvcking stupid, even Jerry’s Kids know that you don’t just look at a W-L record to determine the progress of a FB team. 🤪😂🤪🤪😂

What elite facilities are you talking about. 20 some million on a training table is ok. Raider stadium is not unlv’s and will kill the program. Getting 10k in a 70k stadium will make recruits laugh and run away.

Like all other things Reb fans will be a few years late but will come to understand this.

By what metrics would you say San Jose made progress this year compared to the year before?

There are only two things I can't stand in this world: people who are intolerant of other people's cultures and the Dutch.

Well we scored more points per game, and gave up less points per game. So I guess by those metrics.

But we still sucked last year and will suck again this year. Maybe we’ll get lucky though and they’ll actually make a coaching change after this year. But knowing our AD we will probably replace him with a long snapper coach.

Is UNM able to finally buy out Davie or will his contract expire soon?  That is the only way he goes.  If UNM had money he would already be gone.

Yes... AFTER this season. In 2020, his buy out will be less than 1mil. Plus the money UNM will have from last years body bag game, and the game at notre dame this year, they’ll have the money to tell him to take a hike.

Plus we're no longer paying off Craig Neal. So mo money there.

Your obsession with UNLV is one of the strangest things on this board..99% of your posts are ignored, you're not even on our radar. LOL....Btw, it is UNLV's stadium--they're an equal tenant, UNLV gets their own offices, lockerroom/facilities, permanent signage, they even get their own turf. Which is why the stadium secured UNLV a $60 million multimedia deal, which is bigger than any other school in this conference could land. So you're wrong, you're stupid, and you're probably ugly. Thanks for playing.
