And they say Republicans can't expand their base...

Just so you don't misconstrue my words, I'm not an anti vaxxer. However I don't get the flu vaccine for a specific reason. But you are blowing the reasoning behind an opposition to this bill way out of proportion. Firstly, all politicians seek votes, from all walks of life. Secondly, there is already an admissions quarantine rule in place in many states that were supported by both parties. This looks more like a prevention to forced vaccinations to me.

But if you can prove me wrong, I'll listen

Why?

I personally know 3 different people who are anti-vaxx.

1. Pot-smoking hippy Bernie-bro style democrat-socialist.

2. Ultra-conservative evangelical.

3. A-political...just a really dumb person.

The all fit into the same category of believing blogs from people similar to them over what government/bigpharma/CDC is feeding them.  "Marijauna cures cancer...chemicals are scary..." types of people.

Washington state Senate passes vaccine bill in rebuke to anti-vaxxers

It passed 25 to 22 in the Democratic-controlled chamber, after being brought to the floor just minutes before the legislative deadline. No Republicans voted in favor, and two Democrats voted against.

To expand your base, you have to break immigration laws and put Americans at risk of bad apples that make it through. And now you want to give gang bangers and low life criminals the right to vote in prison. Of course, most of these people are from poor neighborhoods and vote Dem.

The Party of the Democrats: Champions of hate and always so classy. 😹😹😹😹👍

I used to get the flu shot every year until I got Lyme Disease that became late stage because no one could diagnose it. My immune system and CNS was so out of control and it took years to settle it down. The last thing I want to do is stir things up again. There’s so much we don’t know about Lyme, and the risk isn’t worth the minor benefit.

I'd be willing to bet that anti-vaxxers come from both sides of the political spectrum equally

here's a decent article on the subject. Short version is you're mostly correct.

Just remember the president openly espoused anti-vaxxing ideology on a national debate stage.

I own a vehicle likely worth more than everything you own combined and just flew first class (including a ticket for a 2 1/2 year old), round trip to Las Vegas and I'm not 35 yet. When you accomplish something outside of finishing a book, let me know. When's the last time you saw a 2 year old fly first class in their own seat? Don't tell me about elite.

Democrats also have so much fear of the capitalistic boogeyman that they think GMO's are a bad thing.  +++++ing idiots

True. GMO's were naturally occurring long before we started purposefully cultivating them, and differences in nutritional value are negligible.

Horseshit! Most anti-vaxers are skinny jeans wearing hipsters, who are also vegans and Communists just like you Comrade Lenin.

I tend to agree and would speculate that rather than being true Republicans most so registered probably have Libertarian leanings like this nut job:

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/elections/rand-paul-vaccines-can-lead-mental-disorders-n298821

(BTW, maybe we should legalize all drugs because we shouldn't be passing laws which prevent anyone from doing anything they want to do because, you know, if they want to kill themselves that's their right and their medical problems on the way to the grave don't impact the rest of us one iota. So if the entire country has a similar per capita usage of meth and fentanyl to that of Kentucky that will be just fine. Yay, Ayn Rand, er, Rand Paul!)

Boom goes the dynamite.

We all know that Republican's believe that the government shouldn't tell people what to do with their bodies....unless it is to tell someone what to do with their uterus or prohibit them from doing drugs for their own good.  :rotflmfao:

Not sure what the take away from this is.  Are you for full-term abortions and against the FDA?
