Nevada's roster for next year

Recommended Posts

We have to have 100% faith in our new coach and let him do what he does. Knuth is hiring for a reason and its a good one at that. Hoping our players feel his vibe and see his future with our Pack!

If he has to rebuild the entire roster with his guys, so be it.  Next season always had the possibility of being a throw away season. Alford will do fine.

Is Reno going to even be able to field a team next year?

This is wrong....Jalen Harris is also "in the portal".

Let's just say the entire Nevada team is in the portal until further notice.

Back when the conference could actually win games in the Tourney.  Let us know when you can pull a Nevada, and then you will see too.

It's funny that you say that like SDSU has always made it past the first round whereas nobody else has been able to do that. Of the 10 times SDSU has made it to the round of 64, they lost in the first round 6 times, made it to the second round twice and the Sweet 16 twice. Nevada has made it nine times, lost in the first round 5 times, made it to the second round twice, and the Sweet 16 twice. Very similar results.

Please don't try and confuse Aztec fans with facts.

With them, it's all about feelings. They don't "feel" we should be in the same conference.

Too phucking bad for them huh?

You own state says the Aztecs are the "flagship" of the MWC:

1,000 Words: Which school holds title of Mountain West basketball flagship?

" THE OFFICIAL DEFINITION of “flagship” is “the best or most important thing owned or produced by a particular organization.”

"If you told the MW it could protect one basketball team that couldn’t get poached from another conference, who would it pick? My guess is San Diego State, which not only brings on-court results and great crowd support but also plays in the largest media market in the MW. The argument for the second slot would be between New Mexico, Nevada and UNLV."

SDSU is the BB flagship of this conference until someone knocks them down a peg.  They are also the best brand name in the conference, at least in hoops.  NV is the Johnny Come Lately and the only program with a chance to usurp them in the next few years.

BSU is the flagship in FB w/ SDSU nipping at their heels.  SDSU needs a big bowl win to get in the conversation, but that could very well happen.

May want to take a look at my statement.  Besides Nevada, the conference has been horrendous in the tourney.  Every. Single. Time.

But then they want to hate on teams who have had a worthy effort.  Like Nevada did last year.

2013 killed me lol. Such a bummer way to end the season after getting 5 bids. Some rough matchups though, like CSU losing to [REDACTED] :P

Back to the topic,Nevada  players in the portal, I could see Brown going to the Pac 12, but the rest of these guys if they really believe they have the talent to start at Nevada should stay. Alford will quickly find out if they are really starters or pretenders in his system. That said I do believe Jazz Johnson and Lindsay Drew have already proven they should be starters.
