Nevada Hires Steve Alford!

This is a solid hire. Alford's ego took a hit after the UCLA firing. He'll want to prove to everyone that he can still coach and do it darn well. This Lobo fan is a bit jealous. The boos will rain down in the Pit next year, especially if Noodles is on his staff.

A real coach won't touch that job.

Don't know too many UNLV fans that were begging for Alford, if any. He has a reputation for underachieving in the post season.

Alford really likes those 10 year deals.  Hopefully for Reno he actually honors this one.

This is about as solid of a hire as reno could have made.

Im looking forward to reno and Las Vegas fighting it out at the top of the MWC and in the rankings for seasons to come.

Umm we've won a title and made final fours, lmao (but of course that was 100 years ago and no one is alive to remember). Of course we didn't make the post season with Marv, he was terrible. Coach Otz is still unknown at this point, but so far he's blowing anything Marv ever did out of the water.
