You could do a lot worse than Rhoades. I'd honestly almost go with the Miller Bros. though because they'll get the croots to come to Vegas. And they'd sell tickets.

Porter Moser, though, would be UNLV's most UNLV hire ever.

UNLV had to do this quick especially with the upward projection his team was trending and heading, Plus he had some 4 star recruits. They didn’t want him to beat SDSU

Mike Rhoades coaching career - definitely a record of a guy who when standing next to John Gruden they would immediately recognize as the UNLV coach per DRF

It's a conspiracy now! Hahaha!

If he ever did beat SDSU or any other half-decent teams this past year, they wouldn't have had to can his mediocre a$$!

Turner leaving the comforts of Orange County for the Vegas pressure cooker?  Well, after 9 years maybe it's time

Might as well have just said “sources tell the lvrj beat writers that anyone with a winning record is being considered for the job”

Lets be honest, these guys got to write something. It’s their job to look like they know the ins and outs of the search but let’s be honest, they don’t have a +++++ing clue. They didn’t even have a clue that Menzies was going to get canned.

The search firm deal by DRF effectively took the media out of the equation. They can’t know what is being offered or who has been talked to.

A few of them are fine if they were coming from a bigger school, but unimpressed mostly. If all UNLV basketball can get is garbage, I'd rather we give ourselves the Death Penalty, give all the money to football and become a woman's volleyball school for a year.

Edit: Also, MacMahon is barely above .500 without Ja Morant on the roster. Give him credit for being one of the few teams to offer Morant, but I think he might be a flash in the pan.

Honestly I'd go after DeCuire if that's a real consideration. Dude can +++++ing coach. The fact that he has Montana in the tourney despite starting 5 guards b/c Akoh (the big man) is injured is one hell of a coaching job. He's not making anything either up there, so he'd come cheap. That'd honestly be a great hire.
