Top performances on Wednesday night......AF and Nevada

Yep....both teams listed here.

Nevada's Caroline is getting all the attention and well deserved, making first 9-9 shots enroute to a 40pts on 11-19 shooting /58% FG (12-14 points scored from the FT line) along with 12 rebounds and 1 steal.

Overshadowed is who would/could/should be MWC player of the week contender:

Air Force Falcon's Lavelle Scottie who ALSO MADE FIRST 11 of 11 shots enroute to a 34 point career night on a better shooting percentage 15-20 shooting/ 75% FG (only 4 of those points from the FT line) along with 7 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block

In reality, Scottie 'should' be considered for the MWC POW but it won't happen.  Just an observation.  Great game both by players.

Scottie......34pts...15-20...75%FG...4-7FT........9Reb

Caroline....40pts...11-19...58%FG...12-14FT...12Reb

Carvacho had a higher ken.pom efficiency rating than Scottie.  Caroline's game was off the charts.

Carvacho 11-15 73% 24 pt

Scottie 15-20 75% 34pts I'm just saying

With the 12 points Caroline had from the free-throw line and 6 3's,  both of these two guys above were definitely more efficient than him.

Negative ghost rider. In basketball, efficiency is measured as (PTS + REB + AST + STL + BLK − Missed FG − Missed FT - TO) / GP.

Caroline (40+12+3+1+0-8–2-1)/1=  45

Carvachio (24+17+2+0+3-4-3-0)/1= 38

Scottie (34+7+0+1+1-5-3-1)/1= 34

3 points are more efficient field goals than 2, and making the most of free throws, uncontested shots, are more effiecient than a higher field goal percentage.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.
