Two wins over New Mexico - didn't expect any wins really

Loss to AFA was the one that got away............BUT, suddenly AFA is playing everyone tough & took down BSU tonight by 10+

Every few years AFA has a team thats very hard to beat at home. This appears to be one of those teams.

Did Menzies name his gut, Blair? Because I think his play had a lot to do with that.

Since the 1st UNM game, Blair has been fantastic - Think MM had to go to Blair due to front line being wiped out by injuries, but Damn, Blair has been a nice find off the end of the bench

I love that Ntambwe did not shoot the ball well, or even shoot much. But he did not pout or show poor body language at all. He hit the boards, got a block and a steal and he guarded tough all night.

He's one of my favorite Rebels already.

I thought he should have been in the rotation to start the season. I didnt understand why he got no run, but there were other more glaring issues Marvin had going on with the line ups.

It does make me question Marvins ability to look past his own biases about size, rebounding and other factors in order to just play the best players and most effective unit he has.

The front court had to be decimated before Blair even got a whiff. That seems like an issue to me. He's got to open up his philosophy some and adapt more as a coach.

He's got to be more creative. I think he has the technical chops.

I admit I was wondering why Blair transferred back home & UNLV - He barely got much PT up at Idaho and that's a pretty weak overall program, so I admit I was thinking Blair was an end of the bench guy...........But since the 1st UNM game, he's become a big part of the rotation

One thing about Blair is that he plays taller than his 6-5 height and that makes him a bit of a tough match-up for opponents because he can go inside or outside and has some range on his shot.

I'm guessing Blair has replaced Beck in the role Beck was supposed to play this year

The roster isn't great as there's no "super star" go to guy, but this roster is deep and there's not a lot of fall off if Menzies has to grab a guy - And that also makes UNLV tough to prep for, as the opponent has no idea who MM might go to & that allows a guy like Blair to do the unexpected

Great win by the Rebels!! Not a ton of fans, of course, but there were noticably more than recent games and there was genuine excitement in the air.  Had a lot of fun tonight! Road game @ SDSU willwill be tough but if the Rebs can somehow pull that one out, we might actually see a good turnout for the Reno game.

That's the loudest Rebel Yell ive heard all season toward the end. The energy as Blair filled it up was noticeable.
