The foundations are starting to crack for the frontrunner. Bernie at +800 looking pretty tasty.

I'll take Bernie plus 800 all day.

Just remember that Jeb was a fundraising machine in 2016 and bombed.

That being said, for people like @Nevada Convert trying to crow about Trump's fundraising.... a mere two candidates combined out of those three out fundraised him this last quarter. If you add Warren to that mix whenever she releases her numbers (I haven't gone to look so I don't know if she has or not), it'll probably be somewhere in the neighborhood of $100M raised to Trump's $46M.

Jeb wasn’t polling well anywhere though.

This money is going to be spent hammering others in the primary. Comparing it to the incumbent’s arsenal is like pointing to a pile of spent ammunition. We’re a month away from Iowa. It’s about to get real and nobody can afford to preserve a war chest like Trump.

We’re all sitting in the dugout. Thinking we should pitch. How you gonna throw a shutout when all you do is bitch.

My goodness 👀

Michael Bloomberg is wasting no time building out his campaign's ground game, with 500 organizers and staff in more than 30 states, including all 14 of the delegate-rich Super Tuesday states, his campaign told NBC News.

The ramp-up — both in staff and in spending on TV ads — has been quick. Just six weeks after he announced his candidacy, the former mayor of New York now boasts more than 800 staffers on his payroll and over $100 million spent on advertising...

...The hiring spree speaks to the way that Bloomberg, a billionaire who is funding his own campaign, is not constrained by the usual fiscal realities of campaigns. While he's staffing up and spending big, Bloomberg is also focused on states later in the primary calendar, a strategy his team announced as he got in the race in November

That decision means that while the rest of the Democratic pack are focusing their resources in states like Iowa and New Hampshire, Bloomberg could have an edge in the Super Tuesday states, which vote on March 3. The Super Tuesday states are: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia. He has the most staff on the ground in North Carolina, a campaign aide said.

"Every other campaign is going to have to throw their field organizers from an early state to a Super Tuesday state and just kind of hope it works out," said Democratic strategist Emily Tisch Sussman, the host of the podcast Your Primary Playlist. "By putting people in the states so early, Bloomberg will be able to quietly build an infrastructure and relationships while no one else is paying attention" or as other candidates lack the resources to do it.

Let's say there's a Bloomberg surge. He's got to take votes from Joe and maybe Pete right. No Bernie Bros and Warren Warriors are switching teams for Bloomberg. I'm right, right?

I’d imagine Warren and Bernie are celebrating Bloomsberg entering the race.

Probably not many Bernie Bros, but Warren’s base has more in common with Pete’s wine buddies than they do Bernie and Biden’s blue collar base. I can see a world where Bernie wins Iowa, New Hampshire, and Nevada; going into Super Tuesday and momentum picks up for Bloomberg hoping that somebody can stop the runaway socialist train.

Yep. IMO the good old boys club DNC has already picked the nominee who they think has the best shot at beating Trump and it’s Biden. No way Warren or Bernie make the final cut.

Biden will sweep the South and become inevitable as the race grinds on unless he loses his dominance of the black vote.

Joe needs to start talking less and Tweeting more, he can have someone else do that for him.

He’s got the nominal support of the black vote. Does he have the infrastructure to turn them out?

It looks like Julian is desperately trying to get the VP slot with Warren.

I think it was @youngrebelfan40 who called it in one of the early debates when he kept hitting Biden.

It may have been. I was calling it as early as his attack on Beto in the first debate. He's felt slighted that he didn't get the VP spot with Hillary, and has felt that it's owed to him ever since.
