So his wife wouldn't find out he had an affair?

So his kids wouldn't find out he had an affair?

So his friends and associates wouldn't find out what a scum ball he was.

Seriously, can you ask a more stupid question.

He needed to have his CFO set up a shell company to facilitate that?

David Pecker says he did it “in concert with the campaign” so that it wouldn’t be made public before the election. SDNY says that Cohen made the payment to influence the election.

You don't think Trump lies to himself about how he is perceived by others.

You certainly do.

Correct. I certainly do think Trump lies to himself about how he is perceived by others.

Boom goes the dynamite.

Okay hypocrite tell us what was the charge?

Not to mention if he had conspired to launder money for the Clinton campaign he would have been fine.  HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

http://thefederalist.com/2018/04/24/bombshell-fec-records-indicate-hillary-campaign-illegally-laundered-84-million/

Yet the mainstream media took no notice of last week’s federal court filing that exposes an $84 million money-laundering conspiracy the Democratic National Committee and the Hillary Clinton campaign executed during the 2016 presidential election in violation of federal campaign-finance law.

Money laundering, joint fundraising agreement. Same difference.

Anyone can file a lawsuit over anything.

The FEC records are just all false then right?

Otherwise it would be purely political that Cohen would get a prison sentence for a few hundred thousand in campaign violations while Hillary got away with $84 million.  hA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA! HA!

Quote

Over a 13-month period, FEC records show some 30 separate occasions when the HVF transferred contributions totaling more than $10 million to the DNC without any corresponding record of the receipt or disbursement from the state parties, thus illegally leap-frogging the state Democratic parties.

Again, you are talking about allegations from a civil suit that appears to have fizzled out. Your neighbor could sue you for +++++ing his mule. It wouldn’t matter whether you did it or not.

Actually I was talking about documents and records of the Federal Election commission.

According to the suit. There has been no finding of illegal activity with the joint fundraising agreement.

Of course, campaign finance violations are never prosecuted unless of course you need to put pressure on someone to get something you need.

They are documented though in the Federal Election Commission reports.

It was a civil case. Brought by a private party.

Jesse Jackson jr.

On June 7, 2013, federal prosecutors indicated that they sought a four-year prison sentence for Jackson. On August 14, 2013, Jackson was sentenced to 30 months infederal prison, while wife Sandi was sentenced to 12 months in prison for filing falsetax returns in attempt to conceal the crimes.

Yes, he was sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for misusing campaign funds. His wife sentenced to 12 months filing false tax returns.

If they would have reported the misuse of campaign funds as income to the IRS they could not have been prosecuted and put in jail for filing false tax returns.

It is always the cover up that gets you.

Still doesn't seem very "elaborate".

The intent was obviously to hide the source of the payments. And it brings in the Trump org as an accessory. The longtime Trump Org CFO is cooperating with federal authorities. He has been there since the 70s.

He was put in jail for campaign finance violations, she was sent to jail for filing false tax returns. Two separate cases.
