Also, he needs guys who can play immediately next year, as that roster isn’t that intimidating. Next years roster will likely include Brown and maybe Drew as well. Even if it doesn't, Muss will reload. And we still don't know how good Hymes and the other freshmen will be. If Muss replaces graduating transfers with more tranfers, it will be business as usual. 1 Quote "Don't underestimate Joe Biden's ability to F@*k things up." Unless he "reloads" with grad transfers and JC players, you're looking at a roster with something like 3 seniors, 0 juniors, 3 sophs and as of now, 0 freshmen next year. Transfers at this point won't be available to play next year. This years freshmen will have little opportunity to develop because your seniors and 1 or 2 of your juniors will eat all of the PT. Look at the numbers in your 1st 2 games, which usually provide the most opportunity to get younger players a chance to see the floor. Instead Muss has played his seniors something like 315 of the 400 available minutes with Drew on the bench and his juniors another 60 or so minutes, Hymes got 0 minutes What are the odds of a Hymes or Brown sticking around to have Muss bring in upperclassmen to soak up more PT while facing the prospect of being on a non-competitive squad? Remember, Muss did this to you. 1 Quote “Science is the belief in the ignorance of experts.” -Richard Feynman "When buying and selling are controlled by legislation, the first things to be bought and sold are legislators." -P.J. Remember, Muss did this to you. Upperclassmen have gotten the majority of the minutes thus far because: 1.) The best players are upperclassmen 2.) The majority of the roster is composed of upperclassmen I don’t think Muss won’t play underclassmen. He played Oliver, Drew, and even Hall significant minutes as Freshmen and Sophomores. Could some of the Freshmen transfer? Of course, a lot of kids transfer every year. For next year, there will be at least two Juniors on the squad in Eric Parrish and Jalen Harris. Lee, Hymes, and Drew might all end up redshirting That would give-using only current scholarship players-2 Freshmen, 1 Sophomore, 2 Juniors, and 3 seniors. Not that dire but definite holes And LOL at “a non-competitive squad”!

I love transfer recruiting (so did Tark) I’m not a fan of UNLVs recruiting and losing to a bad wcc team, it’s so so marvelous.

That’s how you do it.

It doesn't hurt that 6-7 wings are kind of Muss's thing.
nvspuds
I am surprised by what Muss does every year. Each season is its own particular thing and I am pretty sure Muss has a plan going forward.

I believe he was the 2nd leading scorer on his team that game, hitting a couple 3’s and getting a runout dunk off a steal. Seems like a sleeper for next season.

To be fair, Saint Mary's made the Sweet 16 a few years back, and has made the 2nd round a couple times, something that USU failed to do during the Stew era.
